Set in peaceful Newstead—a charming riverside town—you are ideally placed to explore the iconic streets of Maldon, Castlemaine and Daylesford. Relax in the quiet garden by the water feature for a restful stay.
Perfect for two couples or a romantic getaway, with two queen bedrooms, full equipped kitchen, and a rare romantic double-shower wet room.

There are just a few things to keep in mind:
Please bring your pet’s own bed. It helps them feel more at home.
Pets are not allowed on the beds or furniture.
Pets must not be left alone in the cottage. A new place can feel a little overwhelming for them, and we’d hate for your furry family member to feel anxious while on holiday.
Our charming period cottage is tucked just over the Loddon River in Newstead. While the backyard (152 m²) is fenced, there’s a park directly across the road and farmland and bushland nearby — which can be very exciting for curious noses! So please keep dogs on a lead when out and about, and make sure they’re supervised in the backyard.

The house is lovely and very clean, and there were lots of thoughtful and generous touches throughout, like the scones Marie made for us and the fact that Neal put the fire on for us before we arrived. Neal and Marie were very communicative hosts, and shared lots of recommendations etc. with us. The beds are also super comfortable and warm. We enjoyed a really cosy stay - it was lovely in early winter.

Neal was wonderful and the place is very petite and lovely. The access to the herb garden was so sweet and definitely made our dinners extra yummy! The place is so peaceful! Thank you for the lovely stay!

Great facilities and tasteful interior design and ambience. Perfect for us and our dog with enclosed garden. Lovely welcoming basket and great hosts who gave us invaluable advice about local attractions and places to eat.Having a fire place a bonus too.
