About this house rental
Located in San Clemente, this charming house for $225 per night is a fantastic choice for your next vacation. Please always send me an email if you're interested in the casa as the availability and price are not always quoted accurately by the website. Welcome to Casa Azul! If you're looking for a place with the best location and views in town this is it. We are just a 5 minute walk to Avenida del Mar which is San Clemente's eclectic "Main Street". Here you can find restaurants and shops of many kinds. We have a fantastic open air restaurant "NIcks", a delicious Thai restaurant "Mangut Thai" which has a beautiful dining room and fantastic food and for families with children the Baskin Robins ice cream shop is all the way up del Mar where it intersects with El Camino Real which is a great location for a nice family walk. Of course there are many other places to visit on del Mar so go walk and explore! This is the heart of San Clemente. The casa has four gigantic 5' x 8' windows that look out the ocean white water waves and sunsets. The windows let in a lovely ocean breeze to keep us cool. We sit on the edge of a small canyon that has a great play ground and lot's of grass which adds a green relaxing feel to the casa. It's a wonderful spot for families. There are no homes behind us because of the canyon and park below. You can see Catalina Island most of the time. Just take our back steps as you head to the beach and the park. It takes only 2 minutes to reach the sand and beach trail. If you would like to explore the pier turn left on the trail and you'll see the pier which is just another couple minutes walk. The beach is sandy and the waves are gentle. We have a lifeguard station at the beach area at our canyon. We are also very close to Casa Romantic which was the founder of San Clemente's home. It is now managed by the historical society and is available for touring. It is perched above the pier in grand classic Spanish style architecture. We are a family owned and operated duplex. We have owned the casa since 1969. I have constantly been improving and up grading to make this casa a quiet, cool, relaxing place for all who visit. You will love it!

We enjoyed our stay, the property is dated and the kitchen supplies need a refresh. The location and proximity to the beach and town are awesome.
It all went south when we got home and received a rude message from the property owner. At the time of booking I accidentally listed only two people would be staying in the property, this was an accident the trip was always a family vacation. We had no intention of being untruthful. In addition after receiving the message went back into VBRO to see if addition guest ls changed the price - we have paid her the difference if it did, it was an accident.
The owner also didn’t like how we left the towels, there were no instructions so I left them in a pile.
The whole exchange was disappointing as we would have stayed there again.

We had a wonderful experience at this upstairs apartment with our two kids. The view was amazing. We loved going to the park and beach every day. The beds were comfortable. Victoria was so friendly and helpful. We can’t wait to come back.

My husband, teenage children and I stayed at this property over the Christmas holiday, and we absolutely loved our time there! Victoria, the property owner, was wonderful to work with during our entire stay and even proactively communicated with us a week prior to our trip (as a winter storm was approaching that threatened to delay our travel). We were thrilled to arrive at this wonderful property. We loved the town of San Clemente with all of its delightful shops and great restaurants, which were easily accessed with a short walk from the property. We stayed in the upper level of the duplex and the ocean views from the large windows and deck were amazing! There is a path behind the property that connects to a short walk down the hill to the beach that we walked multiple times during our stay. The cute downtown main street, pier and beach are all just a short walk from this property! We loved walking along the beach path as well. My husband and son were thrilled to be able to surf at this break and at other good surf breaks close by. The unit was clean, so comfortable and just as pictured on the listing. We took day trips to the surrounding beach towns and loved how much there was to do so close to this area. This was truly one of our favorite family vacations and we would be thrilled to return another time!

Wow this place is absolutely perfect. Views straight to the ocean and listen to the waves from the house. Private stairs down to the beach and right by the pier. Parking provided which is a blessing for downtown. If you’re reading this you’ve found the perfect place. We spent our honeymoon in paradise and can’t wait to be back! Pictures do not do this place justice.

Gorgeous view, perfect location!
We loved our stay here! The home is in the perfect location and has beautiful views! We were able to walk to the beach in about 5 minutes and downtown in less than 10. You definitely don't want to have to drive downtown because parking is hard to find. That makes this literally the PERFECT location! Victoria is very easy to work with and communication was great. We loved our time in this beautiful town!

Outstanding Choice
This property was a perfect choice for our 70-day stay. The casa was clean, comfortable, well equipped, and well laid out. Any issue that came up with the house (all very minor) was immediately addressed by the host who was always helpful, friendly, and responsive. As for the location, there could really be none better. The home is situated on a hill overlooking the park and the ocean. Any time spent in the house included admiring the view. We were regularly treated to sunset, moon sets, and views of Santa Catalina Island and San Clemente Island. Access to arguably the nicest beach in town was convenient and only a block away. The main shopping area in town, Avenida Del Mar was only about two blocks away with many restaurants and shop. The location was also very convent to many other attractions beyond San Clemente with just a short drive. I hope we are able to return to San Clemente and if we do, we are sure to see if this property is available for a return visit. Everything about the stay was outstanding.

The location is unparalleled, the views are amazing, and the sound of the crashing waves was mesmerizing. We hope to return next summer.

The place was exactly as described. We thoroughly enjoyed our time in this precious bungalow...the surrounding area/neighborhood is beautiful. The views are stunning and we loved every minute there and hated to leave. We walked to the beach several times during our stay, there are some little cafes right there and we stopped and got breakfast our first morning there...there is also a little store right along the beach with in walking distance. We book alot with vrbo and this place was one of our favorites. We own a cleaning business so I am very picky about cleanliness and I must say the place was up to par! Would love to stay again in the future, and I highly recommend! Thank you Victoria for sharing your beautiful bungalow!!!!

Was a great quiet place
Was great, but has another rental below. Not the place for people who want to be loud. Which we weren’t - and neither were the people below. So it worked out perfect. But if you want to party till midnight here and the person above or below doesn’t - it would be awful

The location, the views, the vibes, the ability to walk everywhere and not drive. The park just below and walking to the pier. I cannot day enough about this place. The details of the place that Victoria has put in to this quaint place really was great for our family. We are coming back next year!

We really enjoyed casa azul. It was perfect the perfect size and location for our little family. The park is in the back yard and the beach just meet steps from there. Victoria was super sweet and so helpful. We can’t wait to go back to casa azul in San Clemente again!

Keep this awesome place a secret!!
I am a bit hesitant to leave an accurate review for this little bit of paradise, because then everyone's going to want to stay here and I might not get to book the dates I want in the future! But I am honest to a fault, so here goes: I brought my 12 & 15 year old daughters here in early June so we could attend some family events in the area. The place was spotless, had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, and was perfect in every way. We stayed on the lower level of the Casa. During our 5 days there when we weren't running around with family, I spent a lot of time on the patio to take in the breathtaking view. The beach was accessible and only a few minutes' walk away. The price was extremely budget-friendly, and Victoria was very responsive to any questions I had (and quite delightful to boot!) Next step: booking some time in November for my & husband's 30th anniversary!! 😁 Bottom line: we absolutely loved this place, and will be back!
