About this house rental
Situated in Mohave Valley, this charming house for $325 per night is a great choice for your next break. This house sets on Shafer's Waterfront Resort property located on Dike Road, Mojave Valley, AZ. Our resort has two houses 79306 (river view, but behind) and 1565718. We have 1 private deck, and boat ramp for your use. We also have a sandy beach area; as well as a grass beach area. Our properties are located across the river from Needles in a gated community. One of our decks sets out over the river point and the other is just off our sandy beach. This house is less than 120 ft from the water. Both houses sleeps 6 adults, for a small fee you may add four children. Shafer's Waterfront Resort has 120 feet of river front for our 2 rentals. The houses are on 2 lots, which gives you ample of parking for all your boats & toys. The boat dock was dismantled on October 12, 2019 . We are waiting fabrication plans for our new dock. The water front deck has been rebuilt May 2021. This home has 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. Inside, you will find 2 queen beds, 2 twin beds, 2 roll-away beds, and a twin air bed. The roll-away beds and the air mattress our kept in the master bedroom walk-In closet. The couch may be used as a bed. Only if you cover it with sheets. Extra sheets sets are kept in each bedroom for your convenience. No more than 10 house guest is allowed. From initial descriptions we thought we had the front house...later we found out we didnt have the river view. Price per day a little high for not having views. Overall a good experience.

The location is ideal for using our Sea Doos and so convenient to use the boat ramp every morning. The beach is nice and loved the little gazebo which provided shade when you need a break from the 100 degrees. We will definitely stay here again!!

Nice property and location!
Property is nice and location is great as well. The check in information was not sent ahead of time, but we were able to get Barbara on the phone and we worked it out. Barbara was easy to work with and helpful.

Very professional and nice owner.
There was a couple of issues that were beyond the owners control, but when they were brought to her attention she immediately took care of them. The house and location were great, me and my family had one of our best vacations ever. Definitely planning on staying here again.

Ehh. Not worth the price. Been going to the river forever and this was pricey for the location
First of all the listing was not very accurate and misleading. When they say that there is a private shared beach, dock, and launch ramp I was expecting that the beach and dock would be enough for 2 different groups to use and share. NOPE. Its pretty much for only the front house, or maybe whoever gets there first and claims their spot. I got to use the dock for maybe about 10 minutes because I happend to pull up when the other boat was out tubing. Other than that I didnt have access and had to take my boat out every night. Which I normally do anyway but when the listing says it has a dock I was expecting to not have to.
All of the above stuff also applies to the beach as well. At least there is a nice beach right across the river. The house was decent but it is behind the main house. We kind of felt like we were invading their space. Not to mention some random "friends" of either the owners or renters showing up and setting up camp on the launch ramp when no one was even around. We pulled up from boating and some random dude is on the launch ramp having a beer and listening to music.
Would not stay here again unless it was about $100 less per night.

Hidden gem in the desert
The house was very clean and comfortable. There was lots of parking space on the property. We especially loved the water front gazebo and the grass covered Beach.

This owner is great!
This particular property is the back house of two on the property. The owner was extremely helpful when the water did not work and she had us move into the riverfront house. VRBO did not list any contact information and we had to search the property for phone numbers to contact someone regarding the lack of water. But once we found the numbers, the owner was most gracious and helpful. We greatly enjoyed being right on the river; the dock and boat launch were very convenient. I would recommend keeping the doors locked as my purse was stolen from inside the house while we were down by the water. I would definitely book the front house again, it really was a lovely time.

Great place to stay if everything is Working, boat ramp is great.
So the house is great, BUT.... the A/C wasn't working so minus 1 star for that. Barbara was great in getting a repair company out to fix it the next day, but the first night in 100 degree weather was not fun. The refrigerator was also not working... minus 1 star. She had a spare refrigerator in her garage that me and my brothers had to roll in, take the doors off so it could fit in the doorway then put back together in the house. Not an easy task in 115 degree weather with the A/C not working. Other then those TWO BIG factors the house was ok. Great place if everything is working. 3 out 5... it wasn't the best vacation home it was just ok. I however would not stay here again.

Perfect house on the river with everything your family needs
I brought my family and two friends for the weekend. The house is the perfect size and well taken care of. It was a very hot weekend and the air conditioning was working great. I brought a 21’ jet boat and was able to launch right on the property. Never pulled the boat out until the day we checked out. Nice dock and beach with plenty of space to play.
The Shafers are great people. We arrived pretty late but Mrs. Shafer was very accommodating. Also met their sweet dog Josie. Mr.Shafer even helped me fix my boat trailer.
We were very happy here would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a great weekend.

Barbara and John are a very sweet couple. They were very accommodating. Very convenient to stay right off the river with our boat and jet skis. Would consider staying there again in the future.
