Located in Leamington, this charming cottage for $200 per night is a great choice for your next vacation. LAKEFRONT HOME GETAWAY! LOOK NO FURTHER! This lake front cottage has over 1600 sq feet for you and your family to enjoy, with central air, two large decks and a grill! Outstanding sunrise! Just walk down our front steps onto a big yard perfect for outdoor games, a hammock or tents, and then onto the beach for swimming, beachglass hunting, or playing pirates. Charter fish or bring your boat or jet ski and use the launch located less than a mile away. You can also fish off the shore or take a short walk down to the dock. This beautiful lakefront property is located in an area of many attractions, Point Pelee National Park, local fairs, berry picking, antiquing, Vineyards, Go-Cart, Golf (& Miniature Golf). Bird watchers delight! Lots of birds and ducks, area famous for the migration of birds and Monarch butterflies. Car ferry service from Leamington and Kingsville to Pelee Island Winery. This cottage offers everything for a great getaway, including rafts, games and a gas BBQ on the deck overlooking the lake. This Cape Cod Cottage features a large open main floor layout with a great view of lake Erie. Floor plan includes three bedrooms, two full bathrooms and the entire first floor is open with spectacular lake view. Dining area has table & chairs to seat six people and kitchen has eating bar. Start every morning on the deck enjoying the lake view, or go right down to the beach to have your coffee or tea. Entertainment includes 1 TV and internet connection for your laptop and a vast array of things to do. Outings, shopping, activities on site or several golf courses close by. Shopping locally, or go to Windsor at the outlet mall. Sightseeing, hiking, wildlife viewing. Swimming, sailing, boating, jet skiing,water skiing, snorkeling/diving. You can also fish off the shore or take a short walk down to the pier. Kayaking, basketball, volleyball ,and tennis. Go karts, horseback riding. Pick your own blueberries or peaches or apples when in season. Movie Theater or dine out. Casino Windsor and see the shows in the evening. Colassantis flowers & tropical plants and visit their zoo. Visit Fort Malden a historic military museum in Amherstburg. Take a day trip to Detroit, visit Green Village, Ford Museum, Motown Historical Museum. Visit Pellee Island, local wineries or hike through Pelee National Park. We had 11 days of peace and quiet and fun and games and laughs galore. I had different family and friends there at different times and thoroughly enjoyed our times together.

Upon arrival, you could tell this was a much loved family cottage. We enjoy the open concept common area with cooling fans and many windows to view the lake. The beach was wonderful for beachcombing and relaxing. We all had a great time and are booked again for next year.

This place is so tranquil, just what I needed.
A visit to Point Pelee National Park is a must. There is so much to see and do. I am hoping to return for a week next year. Just a beautiful property in an amazing location.

Property was as advertised. Nice large beach as well as grassed area for activities. Although there were lots of beds/areas for sleeping the mattresses all need replacing. Two members of our party left early as they were unable to get a good night's sleep...felt like sleeping on a marshmallow.

We stay at this awesome place second week of August 2023.One week fly out as one day. Its usually happening when you are happy. We where absolutely satisfied with the cottage, location and hospitality of the owners. Weather was perfect, content of the cottage is A++,panoramic view-OMG! But the best is Sunrise! Guys, don't be lazy. please wake up at 7 am sit on the sandy beach to see this magnificent show! And don't forget its all included in your package!!

We had such a great long weekend staying at this cottage. The property is big has a nice grass area and beautiful beach, it is a perfect getaway. The place is cozy and clean and has everything you need. Would definitely stay again with our kids and family.

Seven family members enjoyed the house, view and bonfire area. Comfortable for all of us. Visited nearby Point Pelee National Park. Trips to nearby Leamington provided nice dinning options, groceries and more. Thanks Carl and Beverly!

Beautiful water view, close to Point Pelee park.
However there were holes in the 2nd floor ceiling, signs of water damage when we were there.
We found bed bugs on the day bed.

We rented the cottage in October and it was a great experience. We had beautiful weather and were able to relax on the beach and the back deck. As it was off season, it was very quiet and we had the Sandy beach to ourselves. The cottage offered all the necessities available, kitchen is well stocked and the bed was comfortable. Would go back in a heartbeat.

Adorable cottage with everything you could need. Large yard to play games in or have a fire and s’mores at night.
Fantastic views of the lake, the beach just steps away. Unfortunately the water was very cold this week, this is not normal for Lake Erie.
Did have trouble accessing the cottage after shopping one day, but owner quickly resolved our issue.
Overall, a lovely cottage experience!

Absolutely perfect!
From the moment we walked in we were amazed by how perfect this cottage is! Lots of space for the four of us, loved seeing all the family pictures and memorabilia throughout the cottage it gave it such a homey feel. The deck leading to the beach made for many many many hours of swimming, castle building, beach glass hunting, family pictures and having drinks! Bonfires of the beach were a new favourite! Had many day trips to pelee national park,Freddy’s restaurant for lunch and ice cream were incredible. A family run business and all around so friendly! Taylor’s fish and chips made for a yummy afternoon lunch the fish couldn’t be fresher! Evenings were spent on the deck on the beach with a glass of wine or playing board games and morning sunrises we’re breathtaking! Carl and Beverly have definitely made this cottage a home away from home! We booked for next year before even leaving because my kids insisted this be our new family tradition! Thank you for a wonderful week!!

A Delightful Week
We have rented different cottages and this one is my family's favourite.The beach is definitely a highlight. The water, the waves, the sand all provided hours of fun. Cooking around the fire was another highlight. Communication with the owners was excellent.

Wonderful Wheatley Cottage Stay
The property was great. It had everything you needed except a dishwasher. Plenty of games, seating in and out. Had some recent renovations in the bathrooms and kitchen. The beds were very comfortable. The beach and firepit area were wonderful. We totally enjoyed our stay.

The Fab Five
This was our second year staying at the cottage. It was a girls weekend and we have so much fun. The cottage has everything we need we don't even leave the property. It is very comfortable and there is enough room for everyone to sleep and sit. It is so nice to wake up and look out at the water. The view is beautiful. Great location and beach on property
The outside overall needed some cleaning and TLC we scrubbed down the deck the chairs and the siding as it was covered in bugs dirt and mold. The BBQ was filthy and had to be cleaned before we could use it and the toaster didn't work

Exactly what we hoped it would be and more! Very clean, quiet and well stocked with everything one would need. Close proximity to Leamington, & Point Pelee. We came in April mind you so was a litt chilly but the cottage was lovely & cozy. Did i mention the view of Lake Erie ... superb. Would definitely book this again.

Cottage was well stocked and clean. Enjoyed sitting in the yard and enjoying the view of the lake. The weather even cooperated and was warm and sunny. Check in was very easy.

The stove is ancient and hard to see the dials for the burners to know which one you were turning on. Everything toaster etc. had to plug into the stove .Could not find broom or mop for the floors our feet were black after a day in the cottage There are no curtains on the windows in the living area except by the table glad we had no neighbours up at the same time would have felt like living in a fish bowl.Other then that perfect

Property is rustic and fantastic. Had everything and more what we were promised. HostCarl is amazing and prompt. Stove, fridge, Lamps everything is functional. We had no issues. BBQ was great. Fire pit is right by the water. Back yard is a great place to hangout. Open kitchen concept keeps the group together. Dinning area is large and spacious. We had a great stay. Carl you are amazing, accommodated every request we had. We are planning to book it for next summer. Hope you like the little gift we left for you on the dining table.
