About this house rental
Nestled in Kill Devil Hills, this attractive house for $601 per night is a great option for your next trip. This is a single family home that has its own beach access directly out the back door. There are many properties on VRBO that are actually condo so be aware. Our home is one of the larger 3 bedrooms available. We do not charge cleaning fees or fees for hot tub cleaning. Our property is a very short walk to the new Target/Starbucks! We purchased this home in 2019. Prior VRBO listing for this home is 584738 with years of great reviews! In 2019-2023 we have made many, many repairs/upgrades to the home, All rooms have been repainted. Luxury vinyl plank flooring installed in all bedrooms. HVAC/HW heater and roof were all replaced. 2 new sets of bunkbeds installed. New couches added to the great room. The master bathroom has been totally gutted and redone and has a walk in shower. A high top table has been added to the top deck to enjoy meals as well as 4 new polywood bar height chairs to take in the view. Million Dollar Views! Sleeps eight: king, queen and two sets of bunk beds. WIFI! Hot Tub!!! Corn Hole Boards!! Stone's throw to beach! Direct beach access from deck. Oceanfront!! Views to die for! Updated kitchen and great room. Upgraded cabinets and granite counter tops. Ceramic tile in kitchen and half bath upstairs. Hardwood floors in great room. Luxury vinyl flooring in all bedrooms. Full sized washer and dryer. Outside deck. Charcoal grill. Outside shower!!! Path to oceanfront is accessed from lower deck. Driveway has ample parking for upto 6 cars and parking for one car under house. Walk to Avalon Pier for food, drinks and arcade fun. Ground floor storage room to store all beach equipment. We enjoyed our Thanksgiving stay here very much!
The house was clean and well kept. The location is great if you want to close to restaurants and shopping but right on the beach at the same time. Our 9-year-old enjoyed being able to run right out to the ocean, while our 14-year-old enjoyed the ability to walk to Target/Starbucks on her own. The convenience of having grocery stores nearby was a big plus for us.
We enjoyed having two different sofa sets so we could spread out in the evening. The kitchen was well supplied with appliances.
It is worth noting that linens and towels are generally not included with this home.

Totally enjoyed our visit. The location is right on the beach and within a short walk to the new Target a short drive to just about everything else. The house had everything we needed and all the rooms were quite big and roomy.

It was a great home for our family vacation. Location was perfect - steps from the beach, short drive to activities, and grocery store super close. Kitchen had everything promised and then some. Lots of board games for kids, and some kids books. Owners were nice and super responsive to any questions we had.

We had a lovely time during our week stay at Nags Head. The house was perfect for us. It was right on the beach. We could walk out of the master bedroom right onto the beach walkway. We spent many morning with our coffee on the upper deck look out into the ocean. Evenings were spent playing games (supplies with the house!) and relaxing in the hot tub. The kitchen was stocked well with everything needed to cook. We used the charcoal grill quite a few times as well. Overall, everything was perfect. The beds were comfy and the rooms were open and spacious. Kevin was a great host. He responded to our queries immediately.

Really enjoyed our stay. After some instructions from Kevin we were able to finally get the key to start our wonderful vacation. Location and views were awesome. Beds were comfortable and the house was well equipped for just about everything. I also snuck some time in the jacuzzi which was great as well. The week flew by and feel like we utilized all the home had to offer. Kevin was responsive to our questions which I appreciate. Great memories!

We had the absolute best time. The house was perfect, very clean and equipped with everything we needed. The beach was in our backyard and we enjoyed every moment of it every day. I hope you don’t mind but we added some beach fun to the beach storage room…just some beach blankets, noodles and skim boards:) Thank you for opening your home and I can not wait to come back!!

Comfortable home with amazing oceanfront views and access!! Lower level bedrooms and beds were comfortable, views from top level living area were incredible, and beach access was perfect and easy. Kitchen was very well appointed with everything you need. Multiple outside areas, hot tub, and beach chairs/equipment provided. The additional bathroom on lower level is small and accessible from second bedroom and kids room via not very private door. Also, you need to bring your own sheets and linens, which is not mentioned in the listing, so be aware of that. You can hear every step that people take on the upper level in the lower level sleeping area, something to be conscious of with younger kiddos. But overall great location and the beach access is right there! Inviting home with lots of amenities. Thanks for a great stay! Aloha Beaches!!! Our family is still saying this and will for years to come! 😂❤️

The house was perfect for what we were looking for! My wife and I, our two best friends, and their two daughters had a fantastic time at this house. You can tell it's an older house, but the owners have done a great job with renovations.
The bottom floor had all of the bedrooms. The master bedroom (facing the beach) was very spacious, along with its bathroom. The other two rooms were smaller, with a jack-and-jill bathroom. While not nearly as big as the master, our friends said it was all they needed for their family of four. Everyone agreed that the beds were comfortable.
Most of the space is upstairs, with an open concept, making it very easy for the six of us to hang out and have separate areas to sit in whenever needed.
Only the kids used the hot tub briefly, but it was the cleanest-looking hot tub water I've ever seen. We saw the maintenance guy cleaning and checking the levels at the beginning and end of the trip.
This was our first beachfront house, and it did not disappoint. The proximity to the beach and the views you get from the top deck can't be beaten. It is probably a 30-second walk to get onto the actual beach itself. We did a lot of sitting on the top deck, watching and listening to the waves crash on the beach in the mornings and evenings before our beach days.
Highly recommended, and thanks for the beautiful stay!

We had one “good beach day” the week we stayed. Nevertheless, the accommodations pulled through. The updates made since last season were awesome and the ocean front view! To sue for…Couldn't use the decks or hot tub, as the winds were too strong… unless you are up for a free, natural skin treatment😁 Instead, we just opened the doors and listened to the amazing power of the ocean! Thanks for another great trip!

We had never been to OBX before. We picked the right location and the right property. Centrally located and right on the beach. Go south and see the amazing dunes and beaches- go north and enjoy the boardwalk and quaint shops in duck or stay locally and be sure to visit the Wright Brothers Museum . When not busy , enjoy the reason why you came… the beach! Watching the dolphins at sunrise and through the day was wonderful!
The house was exactly as described, super comfortable and clean but make sure to bring everything you need as the host states. Upper deck and living area could not have been more perfect. My only thought is that the OBX would be really BUSY in the summer and it might be hard to get around, but the beach here is so wonderful, why would you ever go anywhere else?!Thanks Kevin-we will be back! 😎

My wife and I stayed here for my 50th birthday. It was the perfect location right on the beach. We saw surfers and dolphins every morning. We were able to get to nag's Head and Kitty hawk quickly and without any problems. The property was clean, well kept and updated, and the communication with the owners. Kevin and Barbara were great. Highly recommend this property for anyone looking for great relaxing outer Banks, beach vacation

We stayed a week with two families - four adults and four kids under 8. The location was great - grocery store, duck donuts and souvenir shops 3 mins away. Being right on the beach was great! The house had just about everything we needed - some of the kitchen stuff could use an update but we made it work and cooked almost all meals for the week without a problem.

The pictures of the house don’t do it justice. It was perfect for our family of 4 for the week. The views are amazing from both floors. We had everything we needed for our stay. The house seems to be situated near the local surf spot, many surfers in the water throughout the week. The location is perfect, we never had to drive more than 5 min to get to restaurants. Duck and Manteo are under 30 min away and both have great boardwalks. Highly recommend!
The only thing I wish was available was a place to wash off sand outside. I assume the outside water was turned off because of it being early spring.

This house is perfect in every way that matters for a vacation; clean, bright, comfortable, and located right on the beach! The owners are super great hosts, friendly, responsive, and very helpful. The only downside is that you will never want to leave…10/10, HIGHLY recommend!

I drove from NY for this vacation home with my 10 and 11 year old. Worth the drive!! This house was beautiful and perfectly located. Very clean and decorated beautifully! The hot tub was in a perfect location and very well kept! The beach was beautiful and clean. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. I will definitely be going back for another stay!

The house was Lovely and we really enjoyed it. ...I loved the hot tub very clean and not overpowered with chemicals...the view is spectacular. The house is cozy and the HVAC works great. We did have to go to heat a couple of times. Always cozy with the temp. The kitchen is very well supplied. I really can't think of any downside. A short walk to Avalon Pier where you can eat drink fish and play pinball etc. Friday night there was live music. Close to everything...This was a perfect get away for the first week in November. I thoroughly enjoy my time spent. 👍☺️

Our group of 4 adults had a great week here. We decided that the master bath shower (which is SO much larger than the shower stall in the smaller shared bath) would be used by everyone. That worked well for us.
Kevin emailed us ahead of time to remind us of what to bring (kitchen & bed linens, beach & bath towels, paper products), and was quick to respond to texts during our stay.
One of our folks was arriving a few days late, so we had him bring things that we needed (more wine glasses, hand towel for powder rm). Non-stick pans always take a beating at rental houses, so you may want to bring your own; the stainless cookware is very nice though. Do bring a bottle of cleaning spray and rags, and soap for the dishwasher, just in case. There were lots of filters for the drip coffee machine. In addition to the full size fridge, there is also a dorm fridge that is handy for beverage cans.
The house is in a great location, central to so many OBX activities. A Target is going in nearby - 2023/24 completion, within sight & walking distance from the house. The two neighboring houses are not rentals, so it's very quiet except for Beach Road traffic (if you've ever had vacation neighbors with a different idea of acceptable noise levels, you'll appreciate this). The deck table and chairs are great for sunrise and beach watching. This is a very wide stretch of beach, so you won't generally hear much of the surf, but you can see everything as the dune is not high. The hot tub is set below the dune line, so no beach view. Two houses S is a vehicle access to the beach; there is a fair amount of traffic through there. It's just a few minutes' walk on the beach to reach the fishing pier. The tide brought in lots of shells during our stay.
The back deck gives easy access to the driveway, especially for loading & unloading suitcases.

This was the perfect property for my family getaway. The house had plenty of room for us. The kitchen was well equipped and it was nice to see some things other renters left behind available and not thrown out (coffee filters, paper plates, dishwashing liquid etc). Even though this was vacation I was up at 6am to catch the sunrise every day, it is something not to be missed! I loved being able to walk out the back of the house and right onto the beach, and the outdoor shower (with warm water) was awesome for rinsing the beach off before heading back indoors. The beach chairs, umbrella, sand toys and boogie boards in the downstairs storage were a great addition also!

We had a great time staying, my kids loved the hot tub and you couldn't get any closer to the beach! Everything we could need was there for us and the homeowners reached out and were very receptive and communication was great!

This is a great house and Kevin is a great communicator. No problems at all. Excellent location to explore the Outer Banks. House and beach are private, but near all the groceries and restaurants,. Don't miss Billie's Seafood for fresh seafood!

We loved our stay at this beach house ! The views were great , the house was spacious , and there was plenty of room for the 4 of us to spread out .
When we arrived , we were greeted (kitchen counter) with a nice welcome basket containing some essentials .
Upon reading other reviews we came prepared with our linens and some other staples . Other renters had left some basics like soap, tp, etc .
The home’s owner was very quick to respond to any of our emails throughout the whole process .
We loved this location because on our little stretch of beach it wasn’t crowded at all . All in all it was a very relaxing vacation - something we all needed . A+++
