This was our second trip to Venice and first with our kids. We chose this as it was a little out of the main tourist traps, had a balcony (essential for July travel) and seemed to be very well maintained. We were not disappointed. The apartment was beautiful - the most luxurious we stayed in, in 3 weeks in Europe. Felt like a flash hotel.
Out host met us at the Vaporetto stop and walked us to the apartment and explained everything about the apartment and area. The kids loved the bunks and there was a lot of room - the balcony was large and there were no insects that other reviews at other accommodations talked about. The area is very quiet and has its own local residential charm - there is a canal beside the apartment but no direct views to this.
We chose to use vaporetto (kids!) but it was just as easy to walk through the streets to San Marco, the train station and other key areas of Venice. Nice to have transport options out of the main business of the Grant Canal - easy to get to Lido, Murano, Buranao etc.
Supermarkets nearby and heaps of restaurants all within 2-10min walk!

Vor der Anreise und während der Ankunft auf dem Flughafen wurden wir per WhatsApp und telefonisch kontaktiert, damit wir an der Fährstation abgeholt und zur Wohnung geführt werden konnten, wo wir eine umfangreiche Einweisung erhielten. Die Wohnung liegt absolut ruhig und trotzdem konnten sehr viele Ziele zu Fuß erreicht werden. Der Supermarkt ist in 2 Minuten zu erreichen. Die Wohnung ist mit einer Klimaanlage ausgestattet, welche Wohnzimmer, Flur und die beiden Schlafzimmer kühlt, worüber wir bei den sehr warmen Nächten froh waren. Die Ausstattung ist sehr modern, sauber und komfortabel. Dass das Doppelbett relativ schmal ist, gehört wohl zu Italien ;-)
Wir haben uns ausgesprochen wohl und sicher gefühlt.
Danke, dass wir das Gepäck am Abreisetag bis ca. 15:00 Uhr in der Wohnung belassen konnten.

It was a good location within walking distance of a grocery store, and was not too far from town. The apartment was clean and pretty well stocked. We liked the flexibility of having an apartment with a kitchen instead of being in a hotel where you have to go out for every single meal.
There was a safe (with instructions) but even though the instructions were followed perfectly, several times, we could not get the safe to work; something was definitely wrong.
There was a washing machine in the bathroom, but it did not function properly; needs repair.
The photo in the listing showed cushions on the outdoor furniture but there were none; it would have been nice to have them.
