Different restaurants, swim-up pool, facilities, ocean view
Very tired and in need of updating, rooms smell slightly, constant beeping noises across the hotel at intermittent times but keeps you awake at night. Was woken up several times in the mornings of our stay. One was at 8am the second morning when we were all asleep by a phone call to tell us Susannah the ‘guest PA’ was waiting to give us our welcome pack. When we finally got to meet with her it was just a hard sell to promote the neighbouring hotel and a complete waste of our time, but she said she gets a point, once she realised we wasn’t interested she dismissed us. We were woken the next morning by a gardener strimming or something of that nature at 7am. There was lots of noise early hours and in the morning by residents. When it went on until 2.30am we couldn’t ring down to reception because the phone in the room didn’t work. At this point we didn’t bother mentioning anything because the start of our stay had already started off very disappointing due to 11 emails sent to Shanae the front desk manager to ask about connecting rooms prior to our stay, with only one responded to with the incorrect information and the rest ignored. So we had to spend our first night in separate rooms and couldn’t settle into our stay. This was sorted the next day by a gentleman called Romaine on the front desk who was helpful, as well as Nyasha. Two of the bar staff were extremely rude, especially one man who served 5 people before myself who had got to the bar after me and he was fully aware I’d been waiting. When I asked if I could be served next the lady with 2 space buns in her hair was very rude and gave me a cold coffee slammed down on the bar. The other bar staff were friendly and helpful. We took a trip to Dolphin Cove, which was amazing. The tour bus guide was interesting and was telling stories about Jamaica which was nice to experience outside of the hotel. Food was okay, but more bones than meat. Most of the staff and residents were friendly.
