Nestled in Door County, this attractive house for $549 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. Beautiful new home built in 2016 with 5 bedroom 3 bathroom near Lake Michigan. Come enjoy Door County's quiet side and still be close to the hustle and bustle of the peninsula. Enjoy a morning on the deck sipping coffee with the birds chirping and the sun coming up over the trees but be careful this place has a way of tranquilizing you and morning can quickly turn to afternoon. The panoramic view with floor to ceiling windows allows you to view nature at its finest. Almost every morning you will be greeted by the deer as they graze in the surrounding fields. Turkeys as the make there way across the land. And brown sand hill cranes frequent this area. Along with many birds, squirrels and an occasional rabbit. Located in the farm country of Clay Banks just a short distance from Lake Michigan is our “Clay Banks Retreat.” Here you will enjoy a spacious, 3500 square foot custom designed retreat with all the amenities of home. Five bedrooms, 3 with queen beds, one with a king bed and a “bunk” room with 8 single bunk beds provide plenty of room for the whole family! The spacious design boasts a sunroom with front door thats open to the great room with cathedral ceilings and large panoramic windows and a 55” Smart TV. The huge custom designed and built dining room table easily seats 12! A full kitchen with black cherry cabinets, a farm sink, granite countertops and slate stainless steel appliances will make you never want to leave. Take a look around, you can see the black cherry and ash woodwork which was cut and logged from this very property in 2005. The walkout lower level features a large family room with a 50” smart TV and two full bathrooms and the bunk room. Included with the Clay Banks Retreat is wireless WIFI, Netflix, a fire pit and all kitchen appliances (Keurig, griddle, toaster, mix master, electric frying pan, crock pot, washer and dryer and a gas grill on the deck). Less than an hour from Lambeau Field and only a short drive from Northern Door County the Clay Banks Retreat is the perfect place to spend your vacation, the only regret you’ll have here is that you have to leave!

This property is perfect for a large group and in a great location in Door County, close enough to Sturgeon Bay but feels secluded when you are there. The house itself is nicely furnished with a great kitchen for all cooking needs. Our group would definitely stay again.

We can't say enough about what a great property this is. We were nine women who spent five days enjoying Door County, and this house was perfect. Gorgeous house, large yard with a fire pit. Plenty of beds and bathrooms, all immaculate. Our Host was very helpful with recommendations, communication was easy, and everything went smoothly.
We would definitely book this property again.

My husband and I booked this wonderful home to spend some time with our 3 grown children and their families - there were 13 of us all together. The house , property and amenities were perfect for us. We had plenty of room and the kids loved the bunk room. The house was so well stocked! Plenty of everything you could think of including all kinds of indoor and outdoor games. We had a great time exploring Doir County and then coming back to hang out at the house.

From the moment we turned down the driveway we felt welcome. In every part of this beautiful space, both indoors and out were places to gather, sit and enjoy. The house was so well equipped from the kitchen, the bathrooms to the cozy sleeping spaces. The pool table was hit with young and old. And the rousing games of Corn Hole, bean bag toss were great fun. Quiet conversations were had both around the fire table on the deck and the great fire pit in the yard. The welcome book was filled with all the pertinent details for a great stay and Darelynn was available for any questions we had. We enjoyed our time all together in this wonderful home. Thanks for making it available to share and the memories made will last a lifetime.

This property is fantastic! The host has thought of every detail. The house is fully stocked. We had a group of 15 people and it was a great size for our group- plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms. We had 7 kids and they loved sleeping in the bunk bed room together. The pool table was a hit with everyone. The host has so many indoor and outdoor games that the group was well entertained throughout our stay.

We got together with family (14 members) for parents 50th Wedding Anniversary. Property was beautiful and home was absolutely perfect. Bedrooms were perfect for everyone. Bunk room for the grandkids was wonderful. Home was stocked with everything we needed. We would definitely recommend this property. Location was perfect. Far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Door County Towns, but close enough to all the amenities they provide.

Clay Banks Retreat is an amazing property and a great place to host a gathering. The house is extremely clean, has a fully equipped kitchen (plenty of cups, plates, utensils, etc), and is well maintained. The open floor plan with kitchen, dining room, and living room is perfect for everyone to be together. While hanging out in the kitchen we saw many deer roaming the fields. The bedrooms are spacious and beds/pillows are comfortable. Bathrooms are clean and spacious and have plenty of towles. I highly recommend this property.

Labor Day Weekend Family Gathering
13 of us ( children and grandchildren), spent the Labor Day Weekend at the Clay Banks Retreat. We all found the house to be very lovely and accommodating for all ages. There was more than enough room and everything in the house was very clean and the kitchen was well equipped.We would certainly return there.

It was absolutely perfect. The kitchen was well stocked, plenty of space to spread out. There were 11 of us and there was plenty of space to spread out. We could have comfortably fit a few more even. Definitely will be returning!!

Great Property
The home was perfect for 13 of us that stayed there over a long weekend. Plenty of room for the adults and for the younger kids to have some of their own space as well. Great location just outside of town so that you can get away from all the people in town and relax under the stars. Very clean. Just a great place to stay all-around.

Perfect Large Family Home
The house was even better than advertised. There was plenty of warm inviting space for everyone. It was a little far from much of the rest of Door County, but we knew that going into it. The table comfortably sat 10 of us for meals. The teens loved having the big bunk room to hang out in.

We are celebrating our 50th wedding anniversary this year and did it by taking our 3 adult sons and their families to this perfect spot in the country. It is easily accessible to Sturgeon Bay.
Highlights were walking down to the beach and seeing deer in the fields, kayaking, jumping off the cliffs, shopping in Fish Creek, Maritime Museum in Gills Rock, etc etc. There is so much to do and see.
Darelyn's house is beautiful and has everything we needed. We had 8 adults and 8 kiddos plus my brother and his wife from St Paul surprised us for a couple of nights. We had plenty room to eat, play, and sleep. The "bunk room" was perfect for "cousin time". The kitchen has everything you might need. After dark on the back deck provided an amazing star show. The fire pit had chairs enough for everyone who wanted to do s'mores or pudgie pies. We are already looking for dates for next year.
The one and only glitch turned out to be a blessing. The garbage didn't get picked up before we got there. I sent a message to Darelyn and she and Tony brought out extra garbage cans for us that week end day so we got to meet them.

Our family had a great time in this home. With 6 adults and 4 kids 5 & under there was plenty of space to gather for meals and play but also spread out for bedtime. The extra items were great—especially toys in the bunk room !

Great place for a large gathering!
This is a gorgeous home that easily accommodates a large group with varying ages. We stayed with 6 adults and 2 toddlers, and had ample space inside and out. It was a bit of a drive to some of the towns and attractions on the northern end of the peninsula, but it was a good home base given the nature of our trip and ages of our group. We appreciated the lawn games, children's toys and well-stocked kitchen!
