About this apartment rental
Our home is a studio in the world renowned Johns Island community, 100 feet from our private beach on the Atlantic Ocean. The beach is stunning, and home to nesting turtles.
We are on the first floor, convenient to parking (no stairs or elevator to contend with!) our front door is steps away from the gorgeous courtyard pool area with loungers and tables provided at no charge. Come and discover the most beautiful barrier island on the Treasure Coast; Enjoy the peace, privacy and tranquility that our private beach and pool offer. You'll feel as if you have escaped to your own beachside hideaway.
Come for the ocean, and stay for the food. Vero beach is a foodie's dream, Tides, rated one of the top restaurants in Florida, to classic Ocean Grill Steak House (on the ocean) and way cool Citrus where the lights are dimmed nightly in deference to the nesting turtles, to El Sid's (delicious Mexican) to everyone's favorite Riverside Cafe (cheap and very fun - best great-food, dive-bar on the water) and so much more. There is a different dining experience every night.
And one of the Island's best kept secrets - the staid Grind and Grape coffee shop turns into a happening music spot with great bands and dancing at night.
Did I mention Costa del 'Este, Gloria Estafan's place, that serves an amazing brunch and beautiful food to beautiful people? Tides - A fine, romantic destination restaurant?
Or the White Orchid Spa. Ahhhhh.
Or catch a rocket launch one night - we can clearly see the rockets that launch from Cape Canaveral from our private decks. Tune in to the NASA app so you don't miss one!
Or even Earl's biker bar, a few miles up the street in Sebastian. They rock out on Sunday afternoons, and are a really friendly bunch.

Practical information - We have access to two private, ocean front decks for stunning sunsets, our private pool, biking and walking, and so much more. You can star watch, and when we get lucky, view rockets taking off from Cape Canaveral.

We are a ground floor condo with easy access to free parking, overlooking the exclusive Johns Island Beach Club.
Our flexible setup with king bed and a comfy sofa bed suits couples, families, or friends traveling together. We supply luxury European linens to ensure your comfort.
We provide the fastest possible internet connection, premier cable and large Smart TV to ensure your technology requirements are met.
And the apartment has a galley kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator and full size washer and dryer.

I worked with the homeowners to arrange a recent stay for my parents. Here’s what they had to say: Indian River House is a very special place. My wife and I had a second trip to Indian River House and our first time was great but the second was fantastic. The home is complete for your needs and so comfortable, but the major benefit is you are 16 steps from the ocean. The beach is incredible to the point you find yourself continually visiting the beach night and day. The heated pool is another benefit surrounded by all types of seating. The Library, Reading Room and Computer Room are more benefits. The location of River House is close to stores and many attractions like the Vero Art Museum. Trust us we are going back to Indian River.
