About this cottage rental
Complete renovation with heating & AC/splits in every room. Brand new kitchen, granite counter tops, range w/oven, microwave, new tile floors, king size bed in master, twins in 2nd bedroom. Enjoy the screened in porch while using the gas grill on your large deck. Just steps to the beach! A sand wagon: 4 sand chairs & beach umbrella are provided. Hop onto the Jolley Trolley at the end of the street for a short ride to the Rehoboth Beach boardwalk. And don't forget to bring your dog! Additional fee applies. Located in the desirable Mariner’s Surfside Cottages community. One off street parking space marked15 B is included & some basic supplies are provided. Please bring king size linens/twin bed linens & bath/beach towels. No long term rentals.

The beach cottage was the backdrop of the perfect getaway to Dewey and Rehoboth beaches. The owner is an absolute gem to deal with and the cottage was everything I had hoped for based on other reviews and the photos provided. Can’t wait to come back next year !

Sweet, perfect getaway. Close to the action yet quiet in the evenings. Dogs being allowed on the beach a.m. and p.m.. is a wonderful perk. I met so many nice people and their pups.

We had a great stay at Karen's cottage in Dewey Beach! The house was a great find - clean and comfortable and had all of the amenities that we needed for our trip, plus we loved that we could bring our dog for his first visit to the beach. Karen, the host, was very communicative, friendly, and extremely flexible. We very much appreciated that she was willing to grant early check-in and late check-out so we could make the most of our time. The location of this cottage is unbeatable - so close to the beach and walking distance to everything in Dewey. We didn't need to use our car once during the trip. If we have the chance to come up to Dewey in the future, we'd definitely stay here again and would recommend to anyone else as well.

Cottage was beautifully decorated and so close to the beach, it was perfect for us. Owner was very responsive with questions. Was a great getaway for us and our pups who were spoiled with long daily walks on the beach.

Perfect size for 3 adults and one fur baby. Friendly neighborhood, super close to the beach, walking distance to restaurants and a dog owners dream. Karen was super helpful and easy to talk to. We had a relaxing mini vacation and plan on returning to this cottage. 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

This is our third year staying at Sandy Pause and we love staying there! Absolutely perfect location close to our fav restaurants and steps away from the beach. Cottage is the perfect size for me, my husband and our dogs. Everything is upgraded and clean inside and fully stocked with all the essentials. We couldn't have asked for more from Sandy Pause. Perfect location, very close to the beach and within walking distance to restaurants and bars in Dewey. The short distance to Rehoboth via car or Trolley is a bonus. The property is well maintained and Karen made sure we were taken care of and had everything we needed for an excellent week.

This cottage was perfect for our family of 4 (and dog). The close proximity to the beach made it easy to come back for lunch each day and also allow our dog to run on the beach in the early mornings and evenings. The cottage is spacious and its best feature is the screened in porch. Many mornings were spent sitting with the dog and enjoying a coffee. This was the first place that we rented in Dewey that had chairs, umbrella with a wagon to use on the beach. It was nice not having to pack those things. The outdoor shower was a bonus for our ocean loving kids.
Karen was wonderful to work with. She sent messages before, during and after our trip. I felt like I was renting from a friend.
We can’t wait to be on that porch again next summer!

Wonderful stay!
This property is exactly what you are looking for at the beach. Clean, well appointed and lovely outside area. Steps from the beach and easy walk to local restaurants. We had such a wonderful stay and we could t have been more please with the property. Karen really goes all out to make you feel welcome and the place was spotless when we arrived!

Pleasant State at Sandy pause
My husband, stepdaughter, and I had a Pleasant stay at the cottage. It is easy access to beach, restaurant, and bars. Although we were only half a block from the bars it was surprisingly quiet on our street.

We had the best time at Sandy Pause. The location to the beach with little kids is amazing. There is a beach wagon, chairs, a cooler, anything you need. The cottage was so clean, kitchen well stocked and had a beautiful outside space. We met the neighbor and her pup, they had great recommendations but respected privacy. I can't say enough positive things about this place. We will definitely be coming back again, I just hope next time we get to stay longer. You can walk to mini golf, ice cream, restaurants, bars etc. The outdoor shower is great for getting all of the sand off and the patio, grill and eating space is a great way to start and end the day. We loved it all!

Perfect getaway
This little gem is located in the best section of Dewey beach with it being a few short steps from the beach in one direction and only a few more steps to restaurants in the other direction. The cottage was well appointed, exceptionally clean, and perfect accommodations for 4 people. The decor was a perfect combination of beach and canine themes throughout the cottage. All of the extras including spices, condiments, soap, laundry detergent, shampoo and conditioner were a pleasant bonus. Loved this place for my family and pup and won’t hesitate for a second to stay here again!

Calm before the storm
Booked before beach became too crowded. Then found out is was opening weekend! Nonetheless, stay was extremely pleasant. The cottage is so close to the beach. My dog and I had a wonderful time at Sandy paws. Will definitely return!

We keep coming back!
This is our third stay at this lovely cottage. Super clean and well maintained. Karen the host is a delight to work with and incredibly responsive. Thanks to some lovely fall weather, we spent lots of time reading in the deck Adirondack chairs and eating breakfast on the deck table and chairs. The beach is a half block from the cottage and you can walk for many miles in either direction. Our pup - and we! - love it. Lots of good places to eat within blocks too. All in all a fabulous place to relax and enjoy life!

Can’t wait to go back!
This is our second year staying at this property (third year staying in these cottages) and we’re looking forward to going back next year! The location can’t be beat…steps away from the beach AND all our fav restaurants (Dewey Beer Co. and Starboard). The cottage is adorable….it’s the perfect size, always clean and well-stocked with all the necessities. Communication with the property manager, Karen, is always prompt. Our stay was excellent and I loved the location of the property.
It was nice having some amenities that are not typically included like seasonings, condiments, dishwasher detergent, laundry detergent and dryer sheets. The beach was only a half block away and we saw dolphins almost every day. We had a wonderful time!

Charming cottage, great location
You feel like you're at the beach in this cozy, traditional cottage, which has been fully renovated and charmingly furnished. The beach is a short half-block away! And it's a great beach. You can walk to some very good restaurants and the Fifer's farm market is just blocks away. We had a very enjoyable week, and consider this a real find.
