Situated in Yucca Valley, this attractive house for $133 per night is a fantastic option for your next break. This Western Desert Retreat sits on top of the hill with 360 views! It is on 2 1/2 acres of peaceful quiet desert. Decorated with western touches. Each bedroom has a queen bed and is at separate ends of the home making it comfortable for two couples or a family of 4. The kitchen is fully stocked with all full size appliances, cookware, utensils and every thing you need to cook a Holiday dinner. You just supply the ingredients. The home has forced heat and air to make you comfortable anytime of the year. There is even a wood stove for the cozy winter nights. The large front porch is wonderful to sit or swing while you watch the wildlife come for a drink. Feed the quail, scrub jay or orioles. Watch for the Bobcats and Coyote at night. Listen to the coyotes sing while you watch the star filled night sky. Walk out your back door and enjoy a hike, rock climb or just play a game of horseshoes, while you enjoy the sunshine. Experience the desert heat in summer( 15 to 20 degrees cooler than Palm Springs) or the snow topped Joshua Trees in winter. This home is just 15 minutes from the entrance to Joshua Tree National Monument . Palm Springs Tram is only 30 miles away. Cabazon Outlet Stores and Casino 45 minutes. Windmill tours 20 miles away. Several OHV areas, nearest is Johnson Valley 20 miles. Covington park in Morongo for bird watchers 8 miles away. What an amazing find close to Joshua Tree. Cheryl's place was amazingly well kept and clean. Has a very homely vibe. We felt very comfortable. Also the place is close enough to Joshua Tree yet very quiet and isolated. Lovely walk from the back to some wilderness and nice rock formations. Loved the stay there and will definitely be back.

Whatever your plans are - stay and relax or take short trips around the area, this is a very nicely kept property with all the homely feel and necessities fully stocked. Highly recommended. Stayed here with kids and they loved it totally.

Hiiltop Home is a clean, quaint home with two spacious bedrooms and an open living/dining area. The home offers beautiful vistas, especially at sunrise and sunset. Cheryl has the home supplied with many items( toilet paper, dish soap, laundry soap, etc… ) which is a great help when traveling from long distances. We didn’t give ourselves enough time (stayed just 2 nights) to simply relax and enjoy the home and its surroundings. Thank you, Cheryl!

Do believe every positive review about this property, because it is all true, and then some. As I told Cheryl this morning on our way out, I typically leave rentals cleaner and tidier than I find them, but it was practically impossible in this case. The home is an absolute delight and Cheryl has thought of everything. There is something really special about this property and I am glad to see that renters have treated it kindly, since there are antique items big and small all over the house that couldn't possibly be replaced. It is such a delight to have this timeless home available to those who appreciate what it represents. The beds were very comfortable, which we find is quite rare in vacation rentals. We spent a weekend in the area for stargazing (specifically, the Perseid meteor shower); we saw quite a few meteors the first night right from the backyard. The second night-- contrary to the suggestion of the park ranger, who told us that we surely had the same dark skies where the house was located as they did inside the park--we drove into the park. What a mistake that was! We spent hours stuck in traffic and ended up seeing the exact same stellar spectacle we had experienced from the comfort of the home's backyard. Moral of the story: if you are in the area for stargazing in addition to everything else JTNP has to offer, you need not go anywhere past the backyard of this home to experience the best of the area's dark skies. We had a wonderful stay in this beautiful and quiet house. Our host were discreet and very attentive to all our needs. The house is very pretty, comfortable, fully equipped and pleasant to live in, very quiet and relaxing. Joshua Tree Park is about fifteen minutes away, so it was very convenient for us who like to hike. We will definitely be back!

We LOVED staying here. It feels like walking into the house of your favorite aunt, that also happens to be adjacent to some of the most beautiful scenery that the high desert has to offer. While we didn't see a bobcat or tortoise this trip, there was all kinds of wildlife right outside the front door. We can't wait to come back. Thanks for a great trip, Cheryl!!

The location of this place was perfect for us. Tucked away and quiet with gorgeous scenic desert surrounding us. The house was set up well, fully stocked, and very clean. We especially appreciated the price when compared to other listings! Highly recommended.

Great location. Joshua Tree National Park is very close with lots to see with wonderful hikes. Also spent some time watching tennis at Indian Wells. Spent a great day at Palm Springs Air Museum.

The house and surrounding property was as advertised. It was a quiet place with lots of area to hike and lots of wildlife. There were lots of birds and jackrabbits close to the house. And it was a real treat to see a Bobcat 3 times right out the widow. Cheryl was a very good hostess. The few problems were taken care of promptly and efficiently. The weather was cooler with more windy than we expected, but Feb of 2023 was cooler in most places. So, all in all, it was a very nice place.

This house is in a nice, quiet area with lots of nature to listen to. Walk out the back yard to miles of desert hiking. Beautiful rocks, trees, birds and more along the hikes. Nature visits you at the house in the way of quail, jays, coyotes and other wildlife. It's an amazing get away. The house is fully equipped and incredibly comfortable. We hope to stay again for a longer time. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

We love visiting Joshua tree national Park. We wanted to visit over the spring to see desert flowers and I had noticed their backyard had rocks, animals, plants and many Joshua Trees for us to explore without having to drive out to the park. Ms. Cheryl was helpful when I sent questions to her. It is was a prefect get away and we hope to come back again .

Immaculate cozy home in private, quiet neighborhood perfect for communing with nature and recharging. Easy access to Joshua Tree National Park and town. We hiked at the park and also in the acres surrounding the home. Older furnishings in home so not a luxury rental but very comfortable with everything you need to cook your own meals and relax at the property.
