Herrliche Lage, schönes Haus mit schönem Garten und Strand.

Where do I start? The whole stay was a dream. Our family suite was on the top floor, featuring a balcony with a stunning view of the Traunsee bay with Traunstein as well as the gorgeous garden stretching from the house all the way to the private port. The suite was very spacious and clean, with 2 bedrooms, a lot of storage space, comfy beds and kitchen equipped with everything we needed. The old house has so much character and remained pleasantly cool during the hot days despite having no air conditioning. The place is accessed via remote controlled gate and feels really safe and secluded. The photos on the website cannot fully capture the beauty and tranquility of the place.
Ebensee is a great base to explore the whole area. The local beach with a playground is a just a short walk from the house and other beautiful lakes such as Langbathseen or Offensee are within 20 minutes by car. You can get to Attersee, Wolfgangsee, Hallstatt or Gosausee in under an hour.
We found no cafes or restaurants nearby - we should have asked, there must have been something. We did not miss them, though, as we were always on the go and ate elsewhere during the day.

Das Haus und die Lage direkt am See sind toll. Die Gastgeber freundlich. Im Grunde war in der Unterkunft alles so wie beschrieben.
Wenn man das Haus betritt muss man gleich die Schuhe ausziehen. Das Appartment ist ziemlich spartanisch eingerichtet. Ein Tisch, zwei Sessel! Die Couch gegenüber der Küchenzeile in der Dachschräge. Die Fenster lassen sich nur ganz oder gar nicht öffnen. Bei herunter gelassenen Innen-Jalousien lüften nicht möglich (Es gibt auch keine Klimaanlage). Der Fernseher im Schlafzimmer mit wenigen Kanälen (keine österr. Sender). Die Betten viel zu weich und die Kissen fladen-ähnliche strukturlose Gebilde. Die Bettwäsche kein ästhetischer Leckerbissen. Das Schlafzimmer extrem hellhörig. Man hört Dusche und WC-Spülung vom Neben-Appartment. Fazit: Ein Gefühl von Schul-Schikurs im Heimatmuseum. Bei Schlechtwetter, wie wir es leider hatten, ist das Appartment kein Platz zum Verweilen und es gibt seitens der Gastgeber keine Kulanz hinsichtlich (Teil-) Stornierung der Reise.
