A lovely breakfast pension in a great location! The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast was exceptionally amazing. There plenty of parking on.site and even a bike storage room where you can charge your e-bike and even rent one. The sfaff were always very helpful and lovely. Highly recommend!

The breakfast buffet, as advertised, was excellent. The two hosts (husband and wife) were very hard-working, friendly, spoke English, always accessible to handle any problem (such as with tv one time), and gave helpful ideas about sights to see. Our room in the newer Annex had two balconies with different views (mountains, field and hills). The stairs to upper floors were very wide and easy to carry luggage. Plenty of car parking space. Short walk to grocery store. A few blocks walk to the train station.
The walk to the lakefront, although along pleasant pedestrian paths, was somewhat long, although we did not see any hotel/pension closer to the lake. During our six-day stay, one day we drove to a lake that our hosts recommended, and another day we took the train to Gmunden. If we return, we would probably each day take short train trips (after breakfast) to other lakes/cities, such as Traunkirchen.

This is my favorite hotel in the Salzkammergut. I try to visit the mountains by bicycle on most weekends, and I take this hotel whenever it is available. They are very bicycle friendly, the rooms are clean and comfortable, breakfast is among the best I have had at any hotel. There are a couple of nice restaurants nearby for dinner, and the scenery is stunning.
There is very little to dislike. At my last visit the wooden floorboards in my room creaked a little bit. At night when I got up for a drink of water I worried that I might wake somebody up. That is the very worst to expect.
