I have a sleep app on my phone, and according to calculations, I’ve got the best thing ever in my life at this place. Miss Jenny is the best host I’ve ever dealt with. She went above and beyond to accommodate me because I have a fear of spiders she came and got rid of the spider for me Went above and beyond to make me feel comfortable and for that I am forever indebted. I love this place.

Jenny communicated every detail very well and was very neighborly during my stay. I had the opportunity to meet her lovely family and the dogs were very friendly. I felt a bit bad coming back late every night as it would get the dogs barking for a bit. The casita was very clean & comfortable. She had even stocked the fridge with fresh eggs from her chickens. I wished I had a chance to use them but alas my schedule prevented me cooking as the space was essentially for me to work and rest, wake and return to my daily activity. If I had thought about it a bit better, I could have made egg salad for my daily routine. My only wish would've probably been for AC but there was a box fan on the window and a fairly powerful house fan to circulate the air. So, that worked out great. Would definitely consider staying again. Thank you for the service & amenities. I wish I also had a chance to use the pool. It looked awesome!

Beautifully landscaped, tranquil setting that is less than 20 minutes from everything in San Diego. Our hosts were super attentive, responsive, and kind to share their property with us. If we get to San Diego again, this is where we want to stay. Our hosts provided us recommendations of places to check out, were so friendly, and down-to-earth. This was by far our favorite VRBO stay ever.

Warm and welcoming. Enjoyed interaction with host, the three friendly dogs, and pool was excellent. We went as a couple to relax. There is no TV so if you need entertainment in evening you may want to bring your laptop. Would definitely stay there again.

My husband and I had a great time staying at this property. The casita is quite spacious and the lovely new kitchen gave us the ability to cook a few meals when we wanted to. The pool is amazing and the three dogs were fun to have around. Also, the owners are really good people who make you feel very welcome on their property! We had a fabulous time on this much needed vacation.

The place was just perfect— super clean and great environment! The host was super responsive and gave clear instructions for parking and access. Definitely recommend!!!

very nice host family makes you feel welcome on a really sweet little compound (casita, pool, hot tub, grounds). all creature comforts are present and easy location makes it a good HQ for a san diego stay.

Jennifer was an AWESOME host! She was very helpful with recommendations around the area and made a point to be very hospitable! The casita was amazing and very well suited for what we were looking for! Very clean, very well maintained and loved the fact that it was an open space and gated! We would stay here again and again! We loved La Casita. It was quiet and peaceful. Very central to everywhere we needed to go. We loved their nice dogs, they always came to welcome us. Jennifer and Roberto made sure we had everything we needed. Would stay in La Casita again. Thank you and your family for your hospitality. Hope to see you all again when we move there.

Awesomely responsive host, very cool space with pool (shared with owner), patio. This is a one room apartment and owners live next door. Not too far from the airport. The temperature dropped suddenly and we felt cold. The owner quickly ran to the market and provided with a nice comforter and even set the bed up for us. The Wi-Fi speed is good enough. They have 3 well behaved dogs btw. We love dogs so we’re cool with it. Things could make it a total 5 star - There is No microwave, dishwasher TV And Laundry. Our stay was very short so it didn’t matter much for us but it could be a challenge for someone looking for longer stay. For a short stay of a weekend or so, I’d rent it again and if they add microwave,TV and dishwasher, TV and laundry then even for longer stay.

What a beautiful stay and experience. The grounds are beautiful and peaceful. We are pet lovers and the well-behaved, friendly dogs were a touch of home. Jennifer was great as was her communication. The pool was lovely, and the location is super convenient makes this a 10/10

The hosts & family are excellent. We are now friends. Quiet, beautiful setting and very comfortable quarters. I will stay again if in San Diego area.

We spent 5 nights during early September when there was a heat wave so with no AC it was a bit toasty. The pool was a great place to cool off and sitting outside in the evening was nice. Jennifer was a great host.

I absolutely loved my all-too-brief stay at the Casita. Jennifer was an amazing, accommodating host and made me feel very welcome. The pups were precious and the pool was heavenly! The room was large, spacious, comfortable, and clean. I slept soundly on the cozy bed as the fans circulated the gentle California breezes through the room. Will definitely be looking her up again when I return to the area!

The property is as serene and beautiful as the pictures make it out to be! Jennifer is a wonderful host and makes you feel very welcome. She even has two very sweet pups and an amazing pool which was a huge plus for me and my boyfriend! I hope to stay here again soon!

We enjoyed our stay here overall. The owner has easy check in and good response time and was very friendly. The actual rental felt private inside and was furnished with everything we need, plus some nice extras like water and granola bars. It was simple, pretty and clean, but it could benefit from being all the way finished. Hole in ceiling and no baseboards made it feel less clean than if it was fully finished. But it was a pretty little rental and perfect size for a getaway. There are a few things that I would suggest, but overall it was great. It is a beautiful backyard and pool with chickens, two dogs who will love to greet you and are friendly. They also have fruit trees. We loved walking around the backyard and exploring the big property. Only bummer is the pool/spa/eating area does face the owners bedroom and kitchen windows, so there is a feel of not much separation or privacy when trying to enjoy that. Plus the spa is not heated unless you ask them each night and the pool surface was pretty full of bugs. I would suggest when a guest is there, just keep the spa heated, makes the guest feel uncomfortable to ask. Also leaving out a net for us to use, if we would like surface cleaner would be great. The owners were out of town most of our stay, which personally we like only to feel more comfortable in the space since it does face their bedroom and kitchen. We are the type of guests that are more private and like to feel we have the place to self. These owners are very friendly and will chat or observe and may even come for a swim with you. Lol I am a very social person in everyday life and they were super friendly and so sweet. Some people love that on trips, but for us on a romantic getaway, I just want it to feel like we are alone and not being visited or observed lol. They were only there the first night and then out of town, so that worked great for us. And like I said, super warm and sweet, salt of the earth type people! They did have people stay at the main house, but we only saw them once which was nice. Like I said these are easy minor changes and really guest preference. Overall it was a great getaway and we had a wonderful time. The drive to beach, La Jolla and shopping was not too bad only 15min or so to most places so that was great.

We truly loved our stay here at this residence. The owner and groundskeeper had great communication and were friendly. They also had 2 lovely dogs, Tara and Kacey, who kept us company upon our stay. We would recommend this location to everyone! (:

We reallly enjoyed our stay at the casita. It was super clean and had all the amenities we needed. The environemnt was beautiful, lots of land, space and quiet. Loved it! The property was secure and communicating with the owner was very easy. If its available next time we need a place definitely staying there again!
