Lovely

A lovely place to stay at Port Issac! Beautiful views, cute, clean and comfortable accomodation right in the heart of the village. Loads of character and friendly staff. Would definately stay here again.

Good

Very attentive staff. The hotel was clean. The decor complimented the public rooms.

The parking space that was allocated was very, very tight to enter into due to the closeness of the buildings only leaving about half an inch on either side. My car was damaged getting in.

I would go back

Loved the location and the staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was clean and had everything I needed.

The only thing that was an issue for me was the walls are quite thin and this is only a problem when there are noisy neighbours that stay up late but that could happen in any hotel!

Superb

Looking out over Port Issac from the center of town was an amazing view. The view was iconic and laced with all the connections to the Doc Martin tv series. We took a Walk and Talk with Dave from in front of the May Contain Nuts store. That filled in lots of information about filming the show. But, you don't need to have followed the show to enjoy the streets of this town. Walk the hills and capture thoughts of smugglers in the past.

Beautiful location. Very clean room and hotel. Very good shower/bath. Delicious breakfast. Kind and helpful staff. Parking available just outside hotel (for a fee of £7 per night)

Could do with some pegs to hang coats/clothes/ towels behind doors perhaps…. Bed was a bit soft and wobbly for our liking. But just suggesting, thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

A delightful last minute booking, I will definitely be back. Perfect location.

The view from my window was beautiful. I'd booked a small single room, but my bed was a 4' small double which was very comfortable and I was happy with the space. I loved the old school hall where we had breakfast, which was excellent.

Comfortable bed. Clean . Location to Pt Issac was excellent

Lack of coffee&tea&milk&biscuits in room. Bathroom toiletries minimal. For $$££ ?think more effort in the welcome &room supplies.

Brilliant, and definitely recommend, beds were very comfy

The breakfast was lovely and plenty big enough to eat. Service was efficient and very friendly

Location and view! Room really lovely. Early access to room wonderful! Gorgeous high ceilings and lovely bathroom.

Access to get to hotel not that easy but understandable . Finding it in the first place with car difficult and was not explained adequately in pre-information. Couldn't find anyone on arrival either at first but when found staff they were very nice. Dining room floor in raised area extremely slimey. Staff agreed. Think floor soap not rinsed off. Felt very unpleasant and potentially dangerous. My Dinner. I had the linguine. It was MASSIVE (flavour absolutely fine). Portion size enough for 2 to 3 people!! Suggest you reduce size or offer it as MEGA hungry dish!

Exceptional

Perfect location. Love the way the school has been sympathetically converted to a small hotel. Very clean. Staff very pleasant and efficient. Excellent breakfast.

One small fault was the seal on the bottom of the shower screen which didn't work and let water flow onto the bathroom floor. The bedroom was small but light and well presented.

The location was lovely, very clean. I felt £196 for 1 night wasn't cheap, ur we did enjoy it.
