I liked the futon beds especially and traditional Japanese style of the guesthouse.
The room felt a little cramped for me and the walk uphill to reach the guesthouse was difficult.

Beautiful traditional house and lovely quiet location but close enough to everything. I booked for 2 nights but ended up staying at extra 3 nights. Wonderful

I really liked the location, up on a hill but still right next to the main bit. Staff were helpful and the common area is nice.

A guest house in a convenient location, very quiet yet close to the centre, with a good price in winter. Beautiful views.
The heating was very sporadic, even though temperatures outside were well below 0°C. The heaters seemed quite old, and there were signs everywhere warning to turn them off when leaving due to fire risk, which was a little worrying. The one in the living room started beeping after only an hour of use. Both we and other guests were quite cold. The bathroom wasn’t particularly clean—there was hair in the shower drain—and there was only one toilet for the entire property. Additionally, the main front door doesn’t close properly; a key or pin system might be worth considering for security and convenience.
