Lovely building and room in great location. Staff excellent and called ahead of check in to see if we would need early breakfast (we were there for Great North Run).
It wasn’t the hotel’s fault, but there was a huge coach party in at the same time and breakfast was completely overrun - things kept running out and there was little space to manoeuvre.

Good location and beautiful building.
Room was large.
When using the shower it soaked the bathroom floor,
creaking floorboards and uneven floor
Some staff very friendly and helpful with a smile on their faces, some not so welcoming.
Breakfast was ok but Coffee was very weak and more like hot water.
