The hotel Villa Koegui is a charming hotel located in a quiet part of central Biarritz. It is very well located for the Grande Plage, the smaller Plage de Pecheur and only a little further away from the Cote de Basque beach. It is also very close many good restaurants and shops. The hotel was clean and public areas tastefully decorated. There is a pretty garden also. The room was very comfortable and a good size. The staff were very pleasant and eager to help with tourism queries/restaurant bookings. The buffet breakfast was plentiful and well presented

Clean and compact.
1 st morning a young girl was overwhelmed trying to fetch coffee and make hot milk. She was cooking eggs and was out of her depth.

Great location; nice selection of baked goods at breakfast; very friendly welcome with lots of helpful information provided about the local area
Room (no.2) was on ground floor and was dark and dreary. Could also have been cleaner. Had to turn off air con during night as it was very noisy. Breakfast service was somewhat chaotic as one staff member seemed to be managing both the breakfast area and reception. Surprised to be asked to pay extra for eggs. More like a B&B than a 4 star hotel
