The grounds, building and swimming pool were lovely!
Y room had a scent of chemicals for cleaning that was not good. Also the air conditioner was old, loud and didn’t work well.

We really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Cheli. The villa and gardens are beautiful, it felt like an Italian dream. The rooms were good, they offered a free cot for our son, which was really helpful and kind. The breakfast was really nice and we also had dinner at the restaurant one evening, we liked it too. The pool is spacious and offers an amazing view over the hills. Overall it was a lovely experience. The hotel is located only 10 min away from the historical city of Lucca, which was amazing to discover as well. We stayed here for two nights on our way to a wedding close to Florence and we definitely recommend it!

The setting and historic building is beautiful. Also the views from the pool are great.
Room had no view, only a square window pointed at the sky. Staff pleasant sometimes, curt at other times. Overall the experince felt too expensive for what was on offer.
