Very serene and high location for a view of the Kanchenjunga
The place is a bit awkward to navigate, also if not properly chosen, you may get rooms at the lower levels with no window views!

Rooms and service was good
On the 1st day the food was uncooked. Chicken served was not properly cooked. The team started giving excuses as if we were having it for the first time.

First, be aware that this hotel is not located in Darjeeling as one might expect. It is actually in Ghum, about 25 minutes away by car, which means you are essentially stuck on top of a hill and need a taxi for every single move.
Upon check-in, towels were missing, which I only realized after stepping out of the shower. My room also had a direct view onto the parking lot, meaning anyone outside could see inside the room when I exited the bathroom. I had to keep the curtains closed at all times, which was far from ideal.
The heater stopped working again, so I called reception for assistance. Unfortunately, no one ever came. Luckily, I managed to figure it out myself — otherwise I would have spent the night freezing.
Food was average at best, and more importantly not hot enough. It felt like the buffet dishes had been left out without any proper heating system to keep them warm.
I eventually checked out two nights early, as there is simply nothing to do in the area. To make matters worse, even the checkout process took an unreasonably long time.
Overall, a disappointing experience and definitely not what I expected.
