It was lovely spending a day and night in Darjeeling and seeing the sights, with the town center being about a 20 min walk away from the hotel. The hotel reception and stairwell were tastefully decorated, and we were warmly welcomed by all staff. Decent for a one-night stay.
My friend's room didn't have much of a view. My bathroom, as well as the communal bathroom, smelled quite bad. I normally don't have a sensitive nose, but this really was pretty intense.

The ambience around the hotel (view towards kanchenjunga) is amazing. The food is good and the staff is polite and helpful. It's great value for money.
There is limited time in the kitchen which means you cannot order food throughout the clock.
Quite a few things in the food menu are unavailable but whatever is available, it tastes amazing.
There is a walkway up to the hotel which is a steep climb and quite a few cabs do not come up so you have to prep for your walk.

Rooms are comfy
The view from my room was terrible. Despite requesting multiple times, they only shifted us on our checkout date, which was unacceptable. I could hardly see anything from my room.
