La posizione è ottima, il personale è gentile e accogliente

Avrebbe bisogno di un po’ di manutenzione, specie nei bagni, nella stanza non c’erano accappatoi e pantofole e mancava una busta per la biancheria sporca. Di solito in alberghi a 4 stelle ci sono.

Very good

The location is great, easy and fast to reach from Salerno train station. Room was small but nice, many places where to leave clothes, suitcases, etc.

There is really a need for a fan in the bathroom. There are already traces of mold in the ceiling. The breakfast is not great, they could do much better by adding some variety.

Good hotel for the price you pay, but very nice location.

The staff was friendly and helpful and the hotel location is really good. It is 3 min walk from the Train station and the city main seaport where you can get the ferries to go to the islands. The hotel is located on a cery nice and lively street where you can walk at night and have a drink or geoato and enjoy shopping from the numerous stores located around.

The breakfast was decent but some food lacked the taste, some progress could be done on that side.

This hotel lives up to its reputation as a great place to stay while exploring the Almafi coast.

Location and staff are the main reasons why we picked this hotel. The reviews were extremely accurate. The staff at Reception were unfailingly polite and helpful as were the staff at the breakfast room, especially Chistina who always greeted us with a big smile. The rooms were a tad dated but spotless. We thoroughly enjoyed our four nights stay at Montestella.

The ever present noise from the street throughout the day and late into the night. However, closing the bathroom door proved a very effective solution to the problem.

Nice room, exactly like the photos

The location is ideal: close to the train station and in an area full of restaurants and shops. Quite small room, but appropriate for short stay.

I like eating fruit for breakfast, and the fruit selection was not ideal. Why only having bananas in May/June? I would have appreciated some fresh seasonal fruit.

We would definitely stay there again.

Lovely, helpful staff. Great location. Modern bathroom with a walk-in shower.

The breakfast could use some improvement. Possibly a better selection of breads and 'warm' scrambled eggs.

Nice stay in Salerno

The balcony was really big. The whole room had a remote control for the lights and the AC and the room was kind of modern.

It is a sad thing that you cannot see the sea - well it's in middle of the old city, but still sad. I think the bathroom has a ventilation problem. You could see this at the ceiling as well.

The location of this hotel can’t be beat, but accommodations itself were a bit underwhelming. The bed was very uncomfort

Tasteful and centrally located, add Hotel Montestella to your list for a weekend in Salerno! I loved the expansive terra

Incredible location, wonderful staff, huge terrace with view of the Mediterranean.

A little noisy from the street below, but no fault of the hotel. I down pillow and better control of the room’s temperature would have been appreciated, but weren’t a huge deal.

Dirty, uncomfortable, stingy! Don’t waste your money for a bit better location. It is not worth!

Location only! But it wasn’t worth. if I go next time, I will rent another hotel in another location but will be happy to be in a different hotel.

Breakfast was AWFUL. they don’t want to spend a penny for breakfast. Bathroom and shower are dirty. Beds are uncomfortable and people are always busy with their monitors. No time, no quality. Don’t waste your money and find another place.

I would only stay there because it is close to the ferry.

Being only a 10 minute walk from the ferry was a plus.

The fact that the hotel is near a busy street, made it pretty hard to fall asleep quickly at night.

Not impressed…

Location is perfect, 10 min. walk from the Train Station through the main shopping street with plenty of Cafes, 2 blocks from the sea front. Strong A/C.

Minimalism is the one word describing this Hotel, but this shouldn’t translate to lack of essential for a 4* Hotel facilities: No mobile shower head. I had to shampoo my hair in the sink(!) Poor breakfast, no semi-skimmed milk, only one type of bread rolls (rather hard), cheapest cereal but plenty of desserts and cakes! Staff at breakfast room don’t speak English. Even when I translated with Google Translate that I wanted low/no fat milk, they still couldn’t get it. Instead I was offered lactose free or soya milk! No safe in the room! We ended up carrying everything on us at all times and locking ipads in suitcases… No English speaking TV Channels —only Italian. Coffee and paper cups in the room not been replaced once used. WIFI signal drops frequently and it is difficult to upload large files at times. In my view, rather overpriced, not 4* and not fit for international travellers either. I stayed in Athens with sea view from my balcony back in May, in a 3* hotel and it had plenty more facilities!

Highly recommended! Staff is very friendly and helpful. :) Located on the fashion street, you can reach the train station and the ferry/ship station with a 10 minute walk. They clean the rooms and change towels every day. The coffee at breakfast is delicious.

More space for clothes would be better
