The room was great, with two bathrooms (one including a full sized bath) and a great balcony overlooking the sea. It was spacious and kept very clean with daily visits from the cleaning staff. The rainfall showers could do with a little cleaning as the water was coming out very oddly, but this didn't cause any issues overall!
Location-wise, the hotel is very well placed. It was only a few minutes walk to the station and also to the centre of Salerno. Across the road was a great Lido, where you could get sunbeds, umbrellas, food, drinks, etc. It has a lovely pool and private beach access.
A couple of things here... The hotel breakfast room was very dated. We were expecting breakfast to be served in the rooftop restaurant area, but it turned out to be on the 2nd floor with no views. The food was perfectly fine though, although the coffee wasn't quite up to Italian cappucino standards from the machine (powered milk I'm assuming).
Also, two of the three lifts in the lobby were out of order for most of our stay, which made it difficult to navigate between the lobby, the breakfast room and the hotel room. Additionally, the 'Down' button to call the lift on our room floor didn't work, so we had to press the 'Up' button, and then ride with people up to other floors before we could go down!!

Convenience to station and view of ocean.
Bed was comfortable and location quiet with windows closed.
The hotel itself is a bit run down, and on occasions only one lift working.
Breakfast was fair.

The rooms were big and cleaned everyday. The bed were comfortable and the breakfast was ok. The property was close to many transport so it was easy to go everywhere. The port and train station were nearby so way to reach Naples or take the ferry to nearby towns
The room were very outdated and definitely needs a remodel. It’s unbelievable that it is 4 star hotel. One of the lift didn’t work and from reviews of other people it has been going on for a while.
