Sodwana Bay Lodge is well secured and I felt safe as I was travelling on my home. Staff were helpful. I could hear the sea and slept so well in the comfortable bed. I found it very convenient to have a restaurant on the grounds.

Views of the dune hills beyond which lie the ocean, thatched roofs: the place breathes calm excitement. Curry and lasagna to die for. To have an air conditioner work and be quiet is something many 4 star hotels don’t manage. This is an oasis, the palms in the garden in the morning just paint holiday.

Where I needed to be, a large resort, primarily for fishermen ( huge boats) and divers with some permanent houses. The lady in the surf shop and the one in the restaurant were very helpful. Despite instructions from the reception, I managed to park near my room. Food was filling and well presented.
The reception was very unhelpful
