We arrived after midnight and reception was accommodating for our late arrival. We were given a choice of rooms to choose from. The room had AC. We only stayed 1 night and although the room was very basic, it was adequate for a couple.
We chose the quieter room but there was still road noise. If you want a decent sleep, bring earplugs.

Basic accommodations within close walking distance of Plaza de Armas, main square in Iquitos. Max, the host, was very accommodating giving me preference over room (cooler first floor over warmer second floor). Rooms were very sparse, but they had clean linen, sheets, and soap. Water pressure was decent. AND air condtioning was very welcome in the tropical heat. Max gave me plenty of recommendtions for food and places to shop before heading out to the jungle.

Everything basic was there -- comfy beds, clean showers, decent room size, central location.
No windows or view in the room; but that also mean it's quieter...

I was charged 200 PEN for two nights and one laundry service, way above what was disclosed in booking.com. also they don't accept card (or better their card reader was broken) had to take me to the bank on my travel day so I didn't discuss the high cost because of time pressure.
