The hot spring pool (even if one was under maintenance), the large bed and the snacks in the room.
We went there few months ago and we could rent bikes in the hotel, this time we could not. They gave us a bag of cookies when we checked out last time but not this time

Big and nice room, indoor onsen was ideal. Many food options nearby. The trailhead to Maolanshan was just next to hotel

The hot tub was AMAZING. Room is huge and spacious. Would say this is the best or second best hotel I've stayed at in all of Taiwan. The location is fantastic too since you only need to walk about 5 mins to the main bus area and town area.
There's also a bike shop just outside the hotel area along the street and you even get a discount if you rent a bike from them if youre staying at the hotel. This is extremely convenient because you dont have to walk far for ANYTHING, and getting around is really easy.
Theres even game room, family room, pool table, mahjong table available at the resort. You can rent their ktv room as well.
Breakfast buffet line was pretty wide tbh, and they even have a separate section for vegetarians.
Maybe a small shuttle to and fro the hotel and bus station would be amazing? Like a electric cart. That'll probably make this a 5 star hotel.
Theres no proper walking path so youre pretty much pulling your luggage along the side of the road.
Also going uphill into the hotel property, its bumpy and the luggage wheels gets stuck - so hopefully they can make a smooth walking pathway!

The room was pretty big and spacious and the staff were very friendly. Great service!
