The location is absolutely lovely, the host was very kind and helpful, the breakfast served was wonderful and plentyfull, great bathroom with fabulous shower
The room should have been aired before arriving, it was smelling musty and although the room was clean it does take away a bit of the experience.

The Chateau is a lovely building tastefully renovated to a high standard. The grounds were large, open and delightfully quiet. The rooms are large, facilities very good and very comfortable. The food was excellent and the hostess/owner Natalia, also lovely. Nothing was to much trouble.

The property is very quiet and beautiful. The host was very friendly and seems to live at property with her son. This is very old school, European country side experience, its like stepping back in time. Breakfast was wonderful, baked goods from a very small bakery close by with juice, coffee, bread, jam, yogurt, and others. She also offered eggs. We had dinner one night, it was very good but very traditional french (think duck liver pate, duck confit, local veggies, cheeses, etc). If you're picky, it might not be for you. She brough us drinks to the outside table before dinner and it was very peaceful. We had our drings while feeding the ducks and exploring the property. She was able to make my son some plain pasta, which was good for him. Food is cash only at the property. You eat in a central room with tables surrounded by suites of armor and trophies, which was a great touch. The room we stayed in was very large, with traditional furnishings like older chairs, 4 post bed, antique armoire, tapestries, all authentic. A stone spiral staircase to reach the room and a sitting room/library is on the second floor and could be from the 15th century. The building was built in the 14th century and the upper floors were added in the 16th, and it really feels like things haven't changed much, in a good way.
The room could have been a little cleaner, there were some cob webs in the corners of the bathroom and on other area. I had to kill a large spider in my room (but I can't saw that's the property's fault as you are in the middle of the country and it could have snuck in at any time). The TV was very outdated and we had a hard time getting any chanels and you can't do wifi on TV to stream anything. There were holes in the walls that needed patched due to hanging curtains and things. The bathroom and shower could be cleaned a little better, with some nicer towels.

beautifully silent area, wonderful views across park
everything in the room was uncomfortable. the so-called queen bed was TINY - so short my feet hung over the edge of the mattress. stiff, rigid and uncomfortable easy chairs. broken TV. nowhere to put a laptop except in the bathroom. and 2 sticks of nescafe powder do not spell "welcome".
