Calme, bon restaurant avec un très bon service. Calme autour du lac piscine. Abbaye a quelques mètres pour vous le soir.
Les logements sont collés les uns aux autres mais on a pas eu de soucis. Endroit isolé.

Breathtaking location. When the sun sets over the sunflower fields, with the abbey ruin in the background, it feels like you're in a movie. I understand they host a lot of weddings - it is stunning.
The restaurant was very good. Authentic food, big portions, a proper nonna in the kitchen and very fairly priced. Truly amazing.
The AC in the room was very good (and quiet).
All the staff (from the property manager to the restaurant ladies) were extremely friendly and helpful.
The property also has a bar next to their restaurant, which is open from 8h to 22h. Prices are very reasonable, and you can also have a light lunch (cutting board with meats and cheeses).
I gave the property a 9/10, but that is actually too low; it should be a 9,4-9,5 instead (but I cannot select this score). 10/10 would be too high given the remarks.
The main remark we have is about the pool. In pictures and from afar it looks beautiful. However, it is created like a very big pond. The liner is some weird cloth that looks and feels a bit dirty and unpleasant. The cloth is kept down by large (concrete?) pavers on the bottom of the pool. In one part of the pool this cloth has been covered with small pebbles (which makes it less weird), but a lot of them are coming off. The poolpond is very deep (maybe 3-4 meter), so be careful with children. The sides are steep, so getting in or out of the pool demands some athletics and lots of balance - good luck doing in gracefully. There also isn't a proper "border" to the pool; the pool is litterally just a big hole in the ground. The cloth / pebbles simply stop at the top, and the grass (and dirt) come to the edge. Also the grass around the "pool" was dirty with lots of cigarettes in it. In the pool itself were some trash on the bottom (although the water was very clean). Lastly, right next to the actual pool is another pond, although it looks like a dirty swamp. Not very pleasant to sit right next to. The whole experience felt like swimming in a public pond, which we hadn't expected. If that is your thing, great, but for us it really was the one slight disappointment about this place.
The pool could do with some new (and more!) sunbeds & umbrellas. Half the sunbeds and umbrellas are broken.
The room was ok, but it was a bit worn down; especially the bathroom. The draincover in the shower was missing; the nozzles in the shower head were completely black (mold?) and squirted in all directions (except down); the seals of the shower door were broken or missing (flooding the bathroom floor after every shower), etc. Nothing major, but it needs some light renovation / TLC.
The mattresses were stone hard and very uncomfortable. They should be changed, asap.
