The hotel is situated in a quiet area about 10 min. walk from Northern Univ. campus and 15 min. to Baia Mare County Library. The historical center is a short taxi drive away.
The rooms are very clean, with all the necessary equipment, including individually controlled A/C. Windows can be opened and one was even fitted with a mosquito net. I found the bed mattress exceptionally comfortable. Breakfast has both cold and hot options, and though it is not lavish, it is more than enough to give you a good start for the day. The staff is very friendly and helpful, both at the reception and at breakfast. A very large supermarket is located just across the bridge.
There is no kettle in the room, but this is probably inevitable for the hotel category and convenient pricing. A small supermarket is adjacent to the building, and there are some drinks available for purchase in the lobby as well, there is no problem. The pillows are a bit lumpy. A small upgrade in quality would be nice - especially since the mattresses are great.

Absolutely fantastic stay! The hotel was beautiful, clean, and comfortable, but what truly made it unforgettable was Lucia at reception. She was incredibly warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to make us feel special from the moment we arrived. Her kindness and genuine care turned a great hotel into an exceptional experience. Highly recommend!
