From the moment I arrived, Khaya gave us such a warm welcome and waited for us as we arrived late around 21:30. The place is so so clean, bathrooms super clean, bed in my room and pillows were so comfortable, I think my room was called Oyster if I’m not mistaken. The breakfast is beautiful, Khaya added his special touch with his amazing service on the breakfast alongside the lady that helps him(I didn’t get her name). Such lovely people honestly and so friendly, they really make the place extra special and homely, they are there for all your needs that can be accommodated of course. This will be my go to place when I’m in Durban for sure. Airbnbs generally don’t look after their places well and I’m tired of finding uncomfortable beds in them, in this property I found a gem honestly. It feels like HOME 🥰
The only thing that I didn’t like was the low pressure of the water in the shower but I was advised that it was due to some pipe construction down the road so I’m hoping that it’s fixed by the time I go back which is soon ☺️. Durban is humid so at the end of a hot day you want a beautiful shower 🙈

We stay at Sandals every time we visit KZN and the staff cannot do enough to make our stay just perfect. We would not select any other place in Umhlanga that would combine comfort and service so effortlessly.

The hosts are lovely, and breakfast was filling. It’s in a safe area with the beach good restaurants, nearby.
It isn’t the cleanest place. There’s mold in the shower.
The toilet tank was cracked and moldy looking. The towels had holes, stains, and were frayed. The chairs in the room are stained. The shutters are dirty.
