The common room is spacious enough with the possibility of books and board games. Kitchen was nice and clean.
I stayed in a private double bed bedroom, perfectly sized ground floor. Bed was comfortable very comfortable for me and I had decent rest. I think it was decent for the price.
The showers and restroom need a little TLC (leaky sink in the restroom, so the floor gets really wet). The shower faucets need a little upgrade. The room tends to get too hot even with the window open. Same with the common area.

Facilities where clean and location in the very centre of Nijmegen is unbeatable.
Staff were great (shout-out to Freddie and José!)
Oh, and the free set of earplugs from the kitchen dispense was an absolute lifesaver.
The bathroom was a little outdated, although it all worked as expected.

Amenities easily accessible, there's a separate locker for your personal belongings with a code lock.
Upon my arrival, I was warmly greeted. However, I was still charged an extra tax, despite having paid everything in full online already. This was mentioned nowhere, and it increased the price to almost double of what I paid initially. Apparently this is an issue in all of Nijmegen - a city tax. But this is not the customer's problem. Since the price is already fixed, include it in the listing. Not doing so feels like an outright scam. The hostel itself was fine. The price I paid on the other hand, was the price of a hotel, or a good B&B, and I'd rather take the latter then.
