Fantastic retreat with amazing hosts!

Beautiful, calm, neat and private place! Very hospitable and helpful hosts. You can see the ocean from every room and there’s a pool, garden and patio to hang out. Every morning the hosts provide you with local pastry.

Nothing; it’s great! Just note that even though there is a small kitchen with a kettle, microwave etc, it doesn’t have a stove in the Standard Suite.

Ein sehr schöner Aufenthalt

Top Unterkunft mit sehr charmanten Vermietern. Die Außenanlage ist wunderschön angelegt mit einigen angelegten Sitzecken, so dass jeder Gast seinen privaten Vergnügungen ungestört nachgehen kann. Der Swimmingpool ist schön groß und lädt zum Baden ein. Für Handtücher und Sonnenschirme ist gesorgt. Sehr angenehm fanden wir die Idee, dass Olivier und seine Frau uns Brötchen und süße Leckereien vor das Appartement gestellt haben, so dass wir uns nicht selbst kümmern mussten. Fürs erste Frühstück war gesorgt mit Yoghurt, Obst, Marmelade und Obst. Für den ersten Abend wurden wir mit einer Flasche Wein versorgt. Fragen oder kleinere Nachfragen wurden prompt erfüllt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Ein herzliches Dankeschön an Olivier und Patricia. Merci bien. Thank you!

Es war alles super. Ein kleiner Wehmutstropfen: Der Ort Salema ist nicht so prickelnd, aber mit einem Auto erreicht man sehr schnell die schöne Costa Vicentina und die Algarveküste.

2 rooms booked by me that weren’t comparable in quality and the price was basically the same. So wrong!!!

Location was nice.

I booked 2 rooms- 1 for my husband and 1 for our friends. We both paid the same price but their room was soooo much nicer than ours. They had a beautiful large bathroom with double sinks, a large terrace with lounge chairs and an outdoor kitchen! Their room was upstairs with a beautiful view. Our room had a small bathroom and 2 regular chairs outside to sit on. We both paid basically the same price. (E10 difference) The rooms weren’t comparable at all. I’ve never complained before but I really felt it was wrong. I guess I won’t book on Booking.com anymore because of this situation.

Great hideaway on the coast

Was out of the way and very quiet. Good sized room with small kitchenette. We had a table and chairs outside. And parking out front. We had fresh bread/pastries brought to use daily and a coffee machine and tea.

Long walk up hill to get to the location. GPS had a difficult time finding. Signage for location along the way was helpful. Had difficulties getting in at first. No room cleaning/service in between days.

All the essentials in small town Algarve

Nice breakfast basket of pastries every morning and very nicely stocked mini fridge with milk, OJ and butter. Good coffee machine that made BIG cups! All in all, breakfast in the garden by the pool was a highlight. The place was close enough to the beach, but far enough to be very quiet. Salema’s beach not overcrowded like the others to the East.

Sorry to say that the bed was very uncomfortable. Three nights definitely all we could take in that regard. The ambience of the room is far from Romantic. We didn’t mind the quad-burning trek up the hill to the place, but be aware if you have mobility issues. There is ample parking down below if needed.

Sehr zu empfehlen!

Die Lage war toll, der Strand ist in 10 Min. zu Fuß zu erreichen. Die Anlage ist sehr schön angelegt und die Zimmer mit einer Liebe fürs Detail eingerichtet. Fabienne hat sich sehr lieb um uns gekümmert. Der Kühlschrank war mit ein paar Dingen bestückt. Kaffee und Marmelade/Nutella/ Honig waren auch vorhanden, sowie eine Flasche Wein. Fabienne hat uns morgens (kostenlos) frische Brötchen vorbei gebracht. Die Unterkunft ist sehr zu empfehlen!

Our stay at Romantik Villa was perfect. Fabienne was a wonderful resource and available for any questions. The room was big and well apportioned. The grounds and pool are beautiful. It was very relaxing and short (steep) walk into town and the beach. Great restaurants. The washing machine was very appreciated.

Lovely stay at Romantik Villa and Salema. Let’s hope the fishermen hand down their skills over the generations.

The sun beds by the pool and man made each could do with being upgraded, I.e, with mattresses, similar with the chairs on our balcony but beyond this we were very delighted with our stay.

Very beautiful and secluded property with nice ocean view from our room. Great location for day trips to Cape Sagres and Lagos. Market at bottom of hill was very convenient for breakfast supplies, etc.

Relax and Enjoy

Spacious studio with small private terrace on the ground floor. If you want to full on ocean view book on of the upstairs units. Fun outdoor areas and pool. Loved the breakfast delivery in the morning to our terrace to enjoy at our leisure. Fabienne was super helpful with restaurants and sights.

A wonderful and relaxing stay.

The grounds and pool were beautiful and well maintained. The room was large, airy and lively in a beach, simple de or. The kitchenette was well appointed with coffee maker and supplies. The hosts delivered fresh pastries in the mornings. Ananda and the staff are lovely and gracious hosts.

Climbing up the hill to the property was a challenge. We did not have a car and should have.

Loved the view from the second floor! Very nicely appointed. Fabienne was wonderful and met our every need. Her recommendations for restaurants was great!

It is a 5-10 minute walk to the beach or restaurants going down a steep hill. For those in good shape, no problem. Otherwise, you will need to take your car and parking is limited. I like that the beach is underdeveloped, no large hotels on the beach. it is beautiful!

Magical get away in sweet Salema

We loved our stay here. Our suite was beautiful, relaxing and perfect! Quiet setting with easy day trips to other areas in Algarve. Magical ambience. Loved meeting other international travelers poolside. And hosts were kind, considerate and wonderful. Wish we could have stayed longer.

The owners were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The location was excellent. Everything was spotless.

Both the bathroom door in our room and the one off the sitting room had a 15 cm gap from the floor- in other words the doors are too short and aren’t close to the floor. A bit bizarre and lacking in privacy. Our room on the main floor faced the breakfast area and was fronted by windows. This was covered for privacy by a curtain that was shorter than the width of the window…

We absolutely loved our stay at the Villa. Fabiana was such a welcoming and gracious host. Just a beautiful place.
