Food was great and reasonably priced. The location, in terms of access, wasn´t that easy, but once there the site is amazing, like being in the middle of a bird sanctuary. I made use of a bicycle and went to the coast almost directly behind Gunjur and that was amazing too. The guy who seemed to be in charge, Sherrifo (¿) was really friendly, to the extent of spotting birds that I couldn´t see. This is more like the real Gambia than Senegambia!
Everywhere is swept every day. A lot of time is spent in keeping the place tidy, but the water in the pool is a sinister shade of green. Maybe there´s no simple remedy. Also, I would like to have had my own key so that I could come and go as I please. The reception/kitchen doors have padlocks so this wouldn´t have been too difficult.

From the minute I arrived at Dalaba Eco-Lodge I was warmly greeted and giving the option to choose any bungalow that suited me. I stuck with the first one offered which was clean and cozy.
It's a perfect lush spot to relax and listen to the orchestra of nature and see many beautiful birds and monkeys passing by.
My experience has left me feeling highly tranquil and I would be back there in a heart beat.

What I liked the most about this hotel was the people working there. They were such a nice people, they treated us very well and the helped us anytime we needed something.
They made us feel at home.
I would strongly recommend this place to stay.
