Great recommendation for dinner at Brasserie Ome Jan - absolute highlight
Good recommendation for walks
This one wasn't for us. We eventually found the info about it being just a box room in the small print, but this weird set up just have been described up front, not just in the small print. It's a box room - no windows - pretty airless - and everything including lighting is controlled by an ipad. So you go to the loo in the night and you need an ipad to switch on the light (super bright), then you need to go back to the ipad, wait for it to log back in, to wash your hands in a separate bathroom. Meanwhile obviously waking up partner because the lights are so bright. This is a gimmick that just doesn't work well in practice. Plus, they didn't seem ready for us - previous guest's half finished drinks in the "mini-bar" (= just a fridge), no soap in the bathroom, no tea, door wouldn't lock ... sure we could keep going back to reception to get fridge emptied, tea, soap etc, but this was very pricey for an ill thought through, ill-prepared box room.

Generous sized and quiet room, with amazing forest shower room. Enjoyed the very comfy bed and quality body wash/lotions.

Hotel is gorgeous, very quirky art inside and out. (Beware if you have a thing about clowns, some very odd paintings!!) Restaurant is lovely and has trees inside. Food was gorgeous, service excellent and the coffee was great! Room and bed was lovely and ensuite was HUGE - lovely slate shower room, but slippy floors.
Staff welcoming and friendly, all spoke english and happy to help order taxis etc for us.
Hotel is down a nice tree lined street, could imagine sitting out with a beer in the evenings
Only one lift, we had to share with the cleaner, and her hoover!
Slippery floor in the shower - aesthetically it looked great but not for elderly husband with dodgy knees, scared of falling.
Some of the statues (there's a full size gorilla, and a man on his phone) and (clown) paintings were quite 'in your face' not gentle and quiet art you'd expect
