The location is fabulous in the very centre of town. My balcony overlooked the main square.

Best was central location and easy parking on the pier, because parking in Puerto de la Cruz can be a problem. Great views from the balcony and from the rooftop swimming pool. The small kitchenette was great to have for morning coffee on the balcony and cold drinks.
I was surprised how much of a "party place" Plaza de Charco is.... There was music playing loud late until night, often past midnight. Balcony doors hold noise quite well, but I'm suggesting earplugs if you're not a party animal yourself....

Reasonable price - did the job for one night before hospital appointment
Right in the centre surrounded by bars n restaurants … 3 minute walk to sea
Microwave oven in room
Pleasant lady on reception but check in was painfully slow as she filled out two long forms by hand instead of photocopying ID cards as usually done everywhere.
Flushing the loo sounds like Niagara Falls in flood
Tiny kitchen in a cupboard was welcome with a hot plate, fridge and a coffee machine which we couldn’t work so we made a cup of tea in the microwave.
Noisy lorry taking away the trash at stupid o clock woke us up.
Parking is a problem anywhere in Puerto … expect to walk to hotel from car parked on narrow side streets
