About this villa rental
Nestled in Rotonda West, this attractive villa for $497 per night is a great choice for your next break. Located at Palm Island Resort on Florida’s Southwest Gulf Coast. No bridges or causeways to the island exist, which ensures a relaxed, tropical vacation setting. The island resort encompasses a two-mile portion of private, pristine beaches on the northern end of Palm Island. Guests travel to the island via car ferry and park their car in our island parking area. Transportation is provided by our bell staff and golf carts are also available for rent for registered guests. Enjoy access to one of the 5 heated pools, plus hot tub and gas BBQ grills. Tennis courts available for play and always complimentary. Our recreation center, Coconuts, offers a variety of rentals to include golf carts, bicycles, kayaks and beach umbrellas. Everyone was very personable and eager to make our stay as wonderful as possible. I rented 2 Villas for my 3 grown children and 7 grandchildren. It was the perfect getaway for all of us. We enjoyed being right on the beach with easy access to beach chairs. Touring the island on the golf carts was a joy for all of us. The wildlife was incredible; turtles, osprey, pelicans, and dolphins were seen almost daily! We will definately be back!

Once again, a fantatic girls week at the beach! The recovery from the hurricane was wonderful to see and hte beach itslef was in terrific shape. We thoroughly enjoyed our time. We would make a few suggestions:Add additinoal guideines to the pool areas regarding children unattended, playing music, and monopolizing shade umbrellas. There were few guests and should have been plenty of space and quiet, but some guests took over the common spaces as their own.

This was a new unit to us. It is great for large families. We always live the staff at the restaurant. The master bedroom bed desperately needs replaced immediately. It feels like you are sleeping in a hole. The views are great and all staff helpful.

This was our first time at Palm Island. We had our entire family and brought our boat for an entire week. It was a wonderful experience!! Had a small issue with the upstairs A/C unit but the maintenance team was there in minutes and solved the problem very quickly with a smile.

We chose Palm Island for a family reunion after hearing about it from a friend. We were 11 adults and three children 5 , 2 and 1 yrs. old, and rented two 3 bedroom units.One of the units was very well maintained and comfortable with beautiful views of the beach. The second unit , though closer to and with even better views of the beach , left a lot to be desired in terms of upkeep and comfort. The rugs were torn and dirty, the air filters filthy,the dining chairs needed to be redone etc, etc, etc... Despite that we all had a wonderful time.

We were so excited about our vacation to Palm Island. From their logo to the pictures on the internet we thought for sure we chose the right place for some much needed R&R. The most positive thing about our trip was the weather,beautiful sunsets and starry nights. The Palm Island resort staff either dont like working there or need some R&R themselves.--When we made our reservations we were told that we could come early and there would be a good chance of our room being ready early, so we got there around 12:45 and it ended up not being ready until after 5pm!. I was told nothing else was available and it wasnt until several frustrating phone calls that they offered us a complimentary meal while we waited longer.--Our villa was nice but was still DIRTY when we finally got into it (hair balls and left over food pieces on the floors and couch,drinking glasses with lipstick marks on them) I ended up vaccuuming and cleaning ALL of the dishes before we even unpacked.--At 7:50am the next morning we were awoken to the loud noise of a pressure washer! The pool patio furniture was being cleaned,but they didnt clean the pool sides that were all grimey and gray.--OVERALL the resort staff is NOT welcoming or friendly--they dont smile or act like they enjoy what they do (except for front desk staff and one very pleasant African American man who welcomes you when you park your car in the lot.)Even as something as simple as waving back when you pass by them in your golf cart. --We ended up picking up trash on the beach when we noticed it was still there from the day before Resort staff could definitely use some customer service lessons to make their guests feel like they are welcomed and wanted back.

Last Summer a few of us floated the idea to come back and it spread like wildfire - every single one of us came. We also brought new additions because the family has grown. We had 34 people. My family and I have been to Palm Island many times. This was the nicest unit yet. The cabinets are a little dated but we are on vacation so who cares. The unit was clean and the location is so close to the beach. The view from the back porch is incredible. Very roomy place! The throw rugs and curtains could be replaced but still not a big deal. Overall a great weekend !

Older building. Bathroom door knob locks you in. Electric for charging golf cart was dead. Cart died leaving us stranded. Water shut off for repairs with no warning. Bedroom had no window. While playing on the beach was confronted as being disruptive to neighbors. Im 68 years old. No other people around. Could go on and on. One or two old bitties 1/4 mile away with binocs who are bored with life spoil it all and management fails to fix problem.

The property is beautiful the condo was wonderful everything was great except the check out. We were charged $25 for a key card for the pool which was never received in our packet. We never used the pool other than with a group from the yacht club which they had already access the pool we never even opened our welcome packet.

We had stayed at Palm Island Resorts before and was so impressed with the lodging and the location that we returned to celebrate our 40th anniversary with our children and grandchildren. When we arrived at our initial accommodation the front door was black with mold and the master bedroom bed sank in the middle. The overall place did not meet our expectations and we were immediately offered a new location which was beautiful. We were greeted with a gift basket to celebrate our anniversary and the staff were so kind, professional, helpful and passionate during our stay. We had a wonderful time on Palm Island. Renting a gulf cart is a must during your stay on the island. There are so many beautiful places to explore. We were delighted to watch the mother manatee and her baby. We saw dolphins. We played in the gulf, collected sea shells and enjoyed watching the sunsets. It is a fantastic place to get away from the crowds. We renewed our wedding vows on the beach and my wife even surprised with wearing her wedding dress. We love Palm Island Resorts and will return again.

We love staying at Palm Island. It’s been a family vacation for years with my family. Driving around on the golf carts and spending time at the beach/pool is always a great time. The villa we stayed in needed a good dusting and vacuuming under the rugs. Additionally, there were some minor repairs that need be made: the master bathroom door gets stuck, some drawers on the dressers get stuck, light bulbs need to be changed, the door to the loft bedroom squeaks and has a large chunk missing on the bedroom side. Minor repairs and adjustments that didn’t affect our stay. We can’t wait to come back.
