Lovely stay

The bed was extremely comfy & I slept so well ! The breakfast was amazing & the position in the village you can’t beat !

The shower in the room wasn’t the best, could do with a power shower.

Superb

The room was great, really spacious and good bathroom facilities. Breakfast was included which was very tasty and a generous serving. The view from the room was gorgeous. Really happy with our stay here. Great location too.

Pleasant

Location was great, close to the lake and plenty of pubs around to choose from

Room was very warm at night, fan was provided but wasn’t very strong. Window looked right out onto the street so wasn’t very private. Could hear people walking around at night until 1/2 in the morning so didn’t get the best nights sleep but the beds were very comfy

A lovely place right in the centre of Coniston.

The hotel was really clean and the staff were all friendly. The food was exceptional, I had a home made steak and ale pie which was the nicest I’ve had for a long time. The breakfast was excellent and huge!!

Lovely stay.

Great staff. Everyone took care to ensure that I had a good stay at the hotel. The room was lovely and the food was excellent.

Parking was a bit of an issue as there are very few free spaces available in a nearby street, and spaces nearer the hotel are time limited.

Great location and friendly staff

great location and the staff were lovely and friendly.

The rooms were not cleaned at all during our 3 night stay. There was no loo roll when we arrived so had to go and find some. The bed is only a double. We would have liked to of had fresh towels and replenished tea and coffees. We’re sure we would have gotten some if we asked but they were short staffed so it was hard to find anyone who could help in the short time we spent in the hotel.

Sunny weekend in coniston 🌞

Everything was lovely the staff from start to finish really helpful and friendly, x

The only thing that could have been better was the breakfast wasn't warm enough, Luke warm, food good but not hot enough 🥴, didn't complain as Wer not complaining people and would have felt awkward 😕 but didn't spoil our stay x

Comfortable with super friendly staff and a great breakfast.

Clean, comfortable room, with comfortable bed and nice hot shower. Superb location for the Coniston 14 race. Fantastic, plentiful breakfast with loads of choice. Great pub food and wood fired pizzas made on site. The staff were wonderful, extremely friendly and helpful.

If. I was being really picky, I would like a little more room in the bathroom.

Dissapointing and not worth £100+ I paid for the room.

Good food with large portions and decent drink selection.

Room was very outdated, cramped and resembled a bed sit. Extremely uncomfortable bed and poorly ventilated room which was too warm without heating and too loud (air conditioning unit directly outside window) with window open. Light leaked in through the door from the corridor and the lighting in the room was inadequate and cold. Curtains felt cheap and were not fit for purpose. Sink wasn’t in the bathroom and in the room opposite the bed. The bathroom felt like an afterthought with inadequate ventilation and cramped shower with poor water pressure.

Great stay, super for dogs!

Really warm feeling and so welcoming! Staff are really kind and helpful too. So accommodating our Labrador puppy as well! Location was superb.

decoration in the room and no sink in the bathroom this was in the bedroom. the wallpaper was peeling off and paintwork requires attention.

Would highly recommend due to its location friendly staff and breakfast.

Great big full English breakfast - piping hot - great start to the day. Room bedding and towels all clean. Great location for the old man of coniston walk.

The bar was good, the breakfast was excellent and so were the staff serving breakfast

The lack of parking. It appears that they have converted the only parking for guests into an outside seated area. This leaves it difficult to find parking close by.
