One block from great uncrowded beaches. Many things to see and do and all close by. Great galleries and restaurants. Could easily commute to Chicago if needed. Just the right balance of everything. Check-in / check-out time is the eastern time zone. Weekly rentals during the high summer season. Turnover days are Saturdays.

We loved Howard’s home! The location couldn’t be beat - two blocks to both a beautiful beach and delicious bakery. The house was cozy and well equipped with kitchen and beach items. There was no crib as seen in the photos but there is a pack and play available for use. Howard was wonderful to communicate with. We loved our stay and hope to be back!

This house was perfect for our group. Easy walk to the beach and well equipped with beach chairs, towels, wagon. The house itself was even better than it looked in the pictures. Kitchen had everything we needed to cook and eat in for most of our meals. The air conditioner worked well which was essential during the heat spell we had. Howard was there to meet us at check in and helped us with one small problem we had with a key during our stay. We couldn’t have asked for more from our vacation! We would definitely stay here again!

This is a bright, comfortable house all on a single floor. The master bedroom and bath are totally separate from the other bath and two bedrooms. Spacious deck areas and very private. Just a laid back, casual experience.

This house and it's location are about as close to perfect as you can get. The house was clean, comfortable and very nicely appointed. The location of the house in relation to the beach is just great. Very very walkable and Howard provides a little wagon and beach goodies. Union Pier is a very walkable and friendly town. It's growing and my personal hope is that it does not grow to much to fast. This is just really hard to beat.

This cottage was perfect for our family vacation! It has a nice living room where we could all be together indoors, and a nice deck area where we could be together outside! The outdoor shower was such a nice bonus...my sister & my son used it everyday! The beach was just a quick walk away (4-5 min), and the cottage had a cute area where we could wash sand off our feet (little frogs). My son (age 7) just loved it! The cottage was so cute and had all the comforts of home-oven, dishwasher, microwave, air conditioning, etc. There are so many books & games that were available to us. And thank you for letting us use your wagon...it came in so handy to get all our stuff to the beach! We all had our separate bedrooms for privacy as well. Howard was so quick to respond when we reached out. Thank you for renting your adorable cottage to our family. We really enjoyed our time there!

We had a great family vacation. This property was wonderful - clean, well cared for, and had everything you would need for a beach vacation. The owner's were very responsive to any questions we had. And the location is perfect. My daughters enjoyed walking to local places to eat, I loved being just a few blocks from the beach, and my mom spent hours reading on the back deck. We would definitely stay here again if we come back to Union Pier.

We had a very nice stay at Howard’s property. We had everything we needed; the beach supplies (wagon especially) were much appreciated. This is a great place to stay if you have small kids and want to be within walking distance of a small, not/crowded beach. 10 minutes to the dunes, and a 10 minute walk to the shops on the Main Street for gelato or groceries.

We had a great stay. A good family vacation. One of the best houses we've rented in over 20 years of going to Union Pier. The kitchen and deck are big. Close to the beach and market, bakery, gelato place, Whistle Stop, and Red Arrow Road House.

Location is perfect and easy walking distance to all Union Pier has to offer. No board games so be sure to bring your own. Loved the outdoor shower especially after taking our puppy to the beach with us. Howard was very easy to reach when any issues arose during our stay.

Pleasently surprised how clean it was and plenty of thoughtful items like doggie bags, kitchen and stocked with necessities, nice size deck with dining seating, gas grill, the list goes on. The outdoor shower helped kids to clean off before going into the house after the beach.

We had such a wonderful time at the house! It was exactly as advertised - clean, bright, and fully stocked. Our four adults and a pup really enjoyed our whole trip - even though it was rainy for some of the time. The house was cozy and comfortable. We can’t wait to come back!

A great thanksgiving holiday at this quaint, cozy cottage. Appreciated the cleanliness, the well supplied kitchen, and the little extras like night lights in the bathrooms, etc. There were a couple of lights that didn’t work, a small leak at a bathroom toilet, and only a couple of washcloths but that didn’t interfere with relaxing and enjoying the time away. Convenient location to shopping - Sawyer Garden Center, Three Oaks, and outlets. The walk to the beach was short and won’t soon forget the nightly sunsets. Communication/working with owner from the very beginning was great - quick and friendly.

The perfect weekend and the perfect little spot for my family (me, husband, two toddlers, and my parents). Walk to beach, drive to Warren Dunes State Park, walked to restaurant, drove into New Buffalo, excellent communication with Howard the owner. We loved our stay and have fond memories of the weekend.

Even in rainy weather, our stay at the cottage was wonderful. Great layout of bedrooms, children's books and games, and a fully-stocked kitchen were all a plus. There isn't much of a backyard but the patio area is lovely. Would have used it more in nice weather.

We have stayed at several rental homes in the area over the past ten years. This one definitely makes our favorites list! The cottage was super clean and has a great floor plan. Master bedroom and dining area are at the back of the home, making it easy to stay up later for board games and conversation after children go to sleep. The gated deck is so nice for pets and children. Howard has several nice ameneties making the cottage well-supplied and very comfortable! The beach is a short walk and not as many steps down as some other areas. We love the area for the bicycling, kayaking, fresh fruit, beach and restaurants. Howard is a great host! We highly recommend this quaint cottage! Thank you for a great week!

I would recommend this property to anyone. Howard keeps his place in great shape, it is clean, well kept, has all the little things you need. Just show up and do your thing. Very close walk to the beach. The property is Dog Friendly which sometimes means it is not kept as nice but this property was perfect for a Dog. Our Dog had a great time and the Deck is fenced in with gate so your Dog can roam freely without worry. The outdoor showers for your feet and body are great to keep the sand off. Howard had a nice Weber Grill with extra propance tanks stocked incase you run out. Howard was friendly and getting in and out was smooth. Only good things to say. We will keep Howard's place in mind when we visit again. Thank you Howard.
