Located in Massanutten, this lovely house for $275 per night is a fantastic choice for your next break. Stay, enjoy and relax at the Bonnie Retreat in the middle of the Massanutten Resort. The house is about 2 miles from any activity in the resort. It features unique barn wood beams, concrete counter tops, farmhouse sink, fireplace, claw foot tub and heated floors. There are 3 bedrooms on the lower level, one with bunk beds and a pull out trundle, one with a queen bed and with double size bed. The lower level has a wet bar and a TV. The lower level also has a full bath and laundry room. The main level has an open floor plan including the living room with TV, dining room and kitchen. The master suite is on the main level with a king bed. The upper level has 2 bedrooms. One bedroom has a queen bed and double bed. The other bedroom has two double size beds. The upper level also has a full bath. Enjoy the outside with a massive wrap-around deck that has a gas grill. There is a doorbell camera next to the front door and pointed at the driveway only. We had friends come to town from all over and we stayed here for 5 days and it was great! The house is so spacious and everyone enjoyed staying here! We were able to celebrate my wife's baby shower and spend quality time with all of our friends in one space! 10/10 would stay here again! Everything about this place was perfect and made our trip that much better!

The house was better than expected! We had so much cozy, beautifully decorated space to spread out, and spend time together. We would absolutely stay at the property again and recommend in a heartbeat!

We had ten people and we stayed very comfortably in this cabin. It's tight, but the owners have really maximized the space well. We did wish there was something at the cabin that we could have done outdoors. A fire pit or a hot tub would have been wonderful. We did have a hiccup at check in. The smart key pad on the door was offline, so no codes would unlock the door. We called the owner and he was extremely kind and literally getting into his car to drive 3 hours to let us into the property (the night before Thanksgiving!) when we discovered an unlocked window we could climb through. A backup plan for unlocking the cabin would definitely be helpful! But we were very appreciative of the owner's generous response. Overall a great place to stay and I wouldn't hesitate to come back!

Bonnie Retreat is a wonderful, comfortable property. The home is beautifully decorated, and the fall decorations were even visible, and noticed. No complaints on beds being uncomfortable, and there were plenty of extra blankets and pillows if we needed them. The kitchen was well stocked. The outside space with plenty of seating for deer watching (up to 7-8 buck at one time), and star gazing. We really enjoyed our stay (Girl's Weekend ages late 50's-early 70's). We would rent this property again. Only recommendations to owners, a box of tissues on each floor would be nice (I did bring some thankfully), and instructions on the thermostats.

The house is very nicely appointed and clean. The multitude of decks and outdoor seating areas was particularly nice for a spring visit. A minor downside is that the upstairs is slightly cramped with two large couches and bar stools all competing for space in a small-ish living room. We had 7 adults and sometimes felt like we were playing red light/green light when moving to and from the kitchen for drinks or snacks. If we were to have more people, we might look elsewhere.

We had 7 adults staying at the house for our daughter's graduation weekend from JMU. The house was plenty large enough that we did not feel at all crowded. The decks were great for everyone to gather and socialize. Our overall impression was that the house was very clean upon our arrival and was totally stocked with everything we needed. Plenty of dishes and flatware that we never even got close to running out. Multiple coffee makers as well as pots and pans. The bedrooms and bathrooms were styled nicely, clean and comfortable. The house is decorated very nicely and makes a great impression. Communications with the hosts was easy and the response time was always very quick. They were very accommodating. Instructions and house rules were very clear. I would not hesitate to stay here again or recommend to friends. Thank you very much we had a great stay!

Wonderful! The home was clean and had what we needed to enjoy our week. Plenty of space to spread out when the kids needed, but nice dining area to cook and eat together. Lots of activities at the resort! Would definitely stay again!

Our group of eight women thoroughly enjoyed spending a few days at this beautiful and cozy home. We had everything we needed (except for salt & pepper shakers). Played pickleball, visited wineries, and just relaxed. Would definitely return!

The house was very nice plenty of sleeping space. I didn’t realize it was three levels and we had to watch the little ones on all the stairs. The outside steps on the deck had some missing posts which again wasn’t safe for little ones. I do believe the owners are heading to the house soon for a little maintenance check they informed me off. BUT. All in all it was a beautiful home great for the family trip we had.

We had an easy check in that went exceptionally well. The house has a beautiful view of the mountains and the woods and is in a very quiet neighborhood. We did need to go to the store to purchase garbage bags, dish detergent, and dishwasher tabs. It was a very comfortable stay and we’d definitely go back again!

This home is more beautiful than the photos. It also has a scenic view from the large family room windows. We arrived and the home was clean. The hosts left nice touches, such as water bottles. It was stocked with everything that we needed, such as hand soap and dishwasher tablets. They provided a pack and play, baby gates, and a high chair, which was great for my toddler. I would not recommend this house if anyone has mobility issues. You have to take a flight of stairs to get to the kitchen. We did not have any issues, so we never had to contact the host. Overall, it was a great stay!!!

I was impressed with the appliances/ utilities and cleanliness. I was disappointed with the yard. We were hoping to throw footballs and play speedminton and etc in the yard and not have to pack up the kids and take them in the car anywhere and unfortunately there is not really any yard and we just couldn't tell that from the pictures and just somehow expected a yard.

The home was very pretty , just as noted in photos! The back deck was very close to a main road and neighbors spent an evening throwing water bottles with baking soda and vinegar to explode in cul de sac. Owners do not have control of this but unfortunate . Master shower not fully functional awaiting plumber. Nice home and close to attractions.

We had a great time, the house was perfect for 8 adults and 5 boys aged 1-9! The rooms were clean and beds comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked and clean. We enjoyed the front and back porches, the weather was perfect for hiking and swimming. They boys were sad there was no foosball table, like shown in the pictures. Other than that the pictures were accurate. One complaint was the coffee makers, there are two in the kitchen, one was very slow and the other leaked. As we left, I noticed one in downstairs kitchen, maybe that would have worked! And finally there was a problem with the jet sprays in the master bath, causing leaking downstairs, but John was very responsive and the plumber came right away, and got the shower so we could use it, w/o the jet sprays😕. Very thankful it was not a big problem, we enjoyed our stay very much! There were so many deer, very entertaining for the little ones! Thanks John for a great vacation!

We had a great experience. The house was so nice and clean and the perfect layout for kids to have a space and adults. 3 families fit perfectly. It was a great location to all activities. Would definitely rent again, had a blast!
