We had a really lovely stay at Finch House when we first arrived in the Galápagos. The accommodation was much more spacious than we expected, with two large bedrooms, each with its own bathroom, as well as a living area and kitchen.
The location was great too – around a 10-minute walk into Puerto Ayora and the waterfront, where you can wander along and watch the incredible Galápagos wildlife.
Melanie was a fantastic host and really good at communicating with us. Although she was out of the country during our stay, she made sure everything was arranged and that we had everything we needed. A really comfortable and convenient place to base yourself on Santa Cruz.
One of the rooms was slow to get the air con through , which meant it was a bit of a challenge to cool down the room ready to sleep in.

Spacious apartment. Good location. Good bed. Good shower. Early check in, well appreciated.
Didn't see any staff. Stayed 2x 1 night. First time appartment wasn't clean, second time yes.

Everything! The refrigerator with a 4L bottle of water was greatly appreciated as was the microwave. I was able to have my cereal every morning before heading out and could eat leftovers. Both Mercedes and Alexandra were excellent hosts. The bed was really comfortable and the shower was hot.

Room was ok
But communication was terrible. Left me outside in the street for check-in for an hour even though i told her what time i would be arriving. The cleaning person knocked like the police trying to break down a door. Not a pleasant experience. You can find a much better place to stay at!
