The 4th of July fireworks on this lake are impressive, the Powers Lake Yacht Club even host a Venetian Carnival - a must see - as pontoon boats get dressed up and parade around the lake competing for a winner! Sailing school for children, regattas, dinner parties, ladies tennis, all part of the Powers Lake Yach Club activities. Lots of festivals nearby! To mention few: Country Thunder Concert (mins away), Alpine Valley summer concerts and Lake Geneva has events through out summer... Guests may bring their own boats and dock at Villa Finlandia's pier. Boats can be rented nearby on the lake. Ask for the info. Wintertime the area is a wonderful place to enjoy skiing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, ice fishing, etc. Villa Nordica has its own hill for sledding, Powers Lake has a busy ice fishing scene and derby, and the nearby lakes offer ice sailing and other fun activities. There are 3 ski hills nearby; Wilmot just 7 minutes drive, Grand Geneva about the same and Alpine Valley little further. Lake Geneva hosts an international ice sculpture festival and Powers Lake has its own ice fishing derby. Please note that during wintertime, the boathouse is not included.
