RESERVATION PROCESS: Your reservation is not confirmed until you return the Akers Ellis Rental Agreement. This document will be sent to you via email within a few hours of making your reservation. You need to review and electronically fill out, sign, and submit the agreement within 24 hours. Once returned, Akers Ellis will collect payment and send you a reservation confirmation via email. We stayed for the half marathon and we all thought it was cute and updated. The villa has everything you need in the kitchen. We thoroughly enjoyed it and would rent again!

This place is really cute and perfectly situated for us. It is not a 3 minute walk to the beach (as someone stated) but if you go to number 8 by the Sandcastle, there is a shower when you leave. We loved it and would definitely stay there again.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location to the beach is great and the villa has nice updates. However, the kitchen floor was very spongy and could probably use a new subfloor, the door to the laundry room was coming off the hinges, and it was pretty dirty (VERY dusty and found dirty pans). Also, someone was working on the property throughout the week and we were never notified that this would be taking place.

Perfect spot on Kiawah! Able to bike (thanks to our vacation credit!) all over an explore. Kitchen was well stocked, all the comforts of home and CLEAN!!!

The villa was clean and comfortable with plenty of seating for the six of us. The villa is updated and in the location we prefer. We had a bit of an issue accessing the unit initially because the key code was incorrect but Akers Ellis staff responded promptly and all was good. Overall, a great stay!

We loved the fun decor of this rental- the perfect beach villa! It was a really fun place to call home for our stay. We really appreciated the cleanliness of the villa. We arrived a bit early and housekeeping was finishing up. Several ladies were there working and were very nice. Great proximity to the beach and park! Everything inside worked perfectly and the kitchen was stocked with everything needed. I highly recommend this villa.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed on Kiawah Island for many years, each year trying a new place. This home was nicely decorated and maintained. The owners even provided extra garbage bags, dish soap, dishwashing soap and laundry detergent (usually owners only provide a small sample to get you started). It was much appreciated! Location was pretty close to the beach, walkable for most. However, we drove there each day because my elderly mother was with us. We parked near the construction area (what used to be the Straw Market if you know the island) and walked down the boardwalk to the beach. Apparently the unit is for sale, so we'll see what the new owners might do with it. Hopefully not much as it's pretty wonderful just the way it is. Only thing that might disappoint some was the upstairs master bedroom/bath was much warmer than the rest of the house (rest of house was freezing), so we used the portable fan in the upstairs hallway to move the cooler air in there which helped cool it off. We were fine with that fix. We saw deer every afternoon on the property around 6:00pm and crabs every night on the beach. Lovely place!

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was terrific and Akers Ellis was great to book through. They were quick to respond to questions and were very helpful. However, the cleaning agency they use was not great. The house was covered in sand, extremely dusty, all furniture and bedding was stained, etc. We spent the first day cleaning up after the cleaning people. We could have contacted Akers Ellis, but we have had cleaning issues before and they often become more of an inconvenience to call the company rather than just take care of it. It did not hinder our trip in any way! Besides that the doors were both very hard to open / close and the TV's in the bedrooms did not work at all...but also not anything that hindered our stay.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We stayed here for our family vacation in August. First I will say that it was very quiet and close to the beach which was very nice however, I was not impressed with the property. From the walls to the floors and the stains on each the comforters, this place was dirty. I understand this is a vacation home and I do not have high expectations but my feet turned black form walking on the flooring when we got there until I cleaned the floors. We have stayed at various vacation rentals all over for the past 10 years and this was the dirtiest yet. Additionally the TV's in the bedrooms did not work. We reached out to the rental company the night we got there to hopefully get this resolved. The came out the next day and didn't do anything. We got a call Monday and were asked if the TVs worked and they did not. Someone came on Monday while we were at the beach but nothing was ever done to fix them and we never heard from the company again. I do not know where the disconnect is whether it is with the cleaning company or the rental agency but we will look elsewhere when we return to Kiawah.
