Plas Penaeldroch Manor

Carrie and Mike were wonderful hosts, and we truly felt at home during our stay. Breakfast was generous, delicious, and cooked to order every morning. We were also able to get tips on some hikes and things to do in the area which was very helpful, and were provided some maps to borrow for the day. In addition, the history of the house (including how it was featured in an episode of the show, The Saint) is provided on some signs on the walls, which was very interesting, and we were even given a private tour of the older part of the building!

In the bedrooms, we could not open the windows, we did not ask if it was even possible.

We had a really lovely stay. Carie and Mike were wonderful hosts and made us feel very welcome. The kids absolutely loved the hot chocolate, and I loved the breakfast — definitely quality over quantity, with everything really well done. The location is spot on, especially if you enjoy walking, and being dog-friendly was a big plus for us. Mike’s recommendations were super helpful, and we really enjoyed listening to him tell us about the history of the Manor — genuinely fascinating! And of course, Lola, the resident dog, was a very pleasant surprise and quickly became a favourite with us. 🐶 A lovely, welcoming place in a fantastic location. We’d happily stay again!
