This is a quiet, clean, and welcoming hotel in the middle of the Snowdonia National Park.
A very great plus was the fact that the heating was on full blast, and this was important because, although the month of August, the weather was very cold when we stayed there.
At our request, we were given a quiet room, which was in the wing just at the back of the house, and there was no internet reception, due to a very thick wall between the historic building and this newer extension. We had no problem with it, because we had a hotspot on the mobile, but for some people it may be a problem. The breakfast was okay, but the only hot kind of breakfast was a full English, and that becomes a bit repetitive. Still, we enjoyed it.

It was looked like something from Harry Potter (10 year old child). It was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was nice
Background music at breakfast low, too quiet so people wouldn’t feel awkward.

Breakfast was first class, full English with no unnecessary additions. Room had a nice view of the hills across the main road. Host was very helpful and flexible. The carpark was spacious and shaded by tall trees.
The decor and fittings were from a previous era, and quite tired. The shower, toilet ensuite had an odd smell, and the sink was in the room. We stayed on a very hot night and the road noise with windows open wide was disturbing.
