Everything about our week here was great! David was always available to answer our questions about the house and also about activities to do in the area. This was the best equipped home we have ever stayed in! We all agreed that we’d love to return one day…

Great spot for a family gathering
There were 13 in our party -- ranging 9 to 80. There was plenty to do for all of us. We rented a boat from the host (David) and spent a great deal of time on it, but we also made use of all the other amenities/activities/games. Never bored and plenty of space for us to get a little quiet time away from the group when needed.

All around perfection!!!
This vacation home is an oasis! The lakefront is breathtaking but then add the trampoline, playground, volleyball, disc golf etc. you never want to leave. David has thought of everything, bikes, soda machine, ice-machine (which came in handy when filling the provided ice chest for the boat), all the streaming platforms for movies, the list goes on... there is even fresh chick and duck eggs on property!! David had impeccable communication with us from start to finish, he was at our beck and call. David even put our family in touch with Chef Erin, which Erin cooked three-four-course FROM SCRATCH meals for us during our stay!! The kitchen was fully stocked with paper towels, paper goods for eating outside, cleaning supplies etc. The beds were comfy with clean linens and plenty of fluffy bath towels. There are TWO washer and dryers, one set on each floor, which came in handy while traveling for a week with children. We will definitely be back!

Our 2 families, with 5 kids total, had the most amazing week in David's home. He went above and beyond to make our stay fun, comfortable and relaxing. The kids were not bored for 1 minute the entire week which was priceless. The property is stunning and the location is perfect, just a short drive or boat ride from town. We've been to some beautiful places, but this one quickly moved to the top of our list. We can't wait to return!

Check all the Boxes
If you are looking for a home and location that will check all the boxes for a vacation look no further. We recently rented the property and had a wonderful family vacation at David’s riverfront home. From the time we inquired about the property until we checked out, David was a superb host. We can’t say enough about the awesome home and all of the high end amenities that will make your stay unforgettable. Likewise, the peaceful and park like setting offers an incredible view of the river as well as the opportunity to relax kayaking or canoeing. While staying here were able to disconnect from our daily lives and be in the moment with our family. We also didn’t feel the need to leave the property since there were so many activities to do there. If you are looking for a location that will check all the boxes for your next vacation look no further than this property.

Beautiful home, gracious hosts
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house was in a beautiful setting...private but close enough to everything your need. David and his wife Lisa were warm and accommodating. They had paddle boards, kayaks and a canoe set out on the beach awaiting our arrival. It was definitely a family friendly experience and we hope to return to this property again.

Large, beautiful home PERFECT for families with kids!
We stayed for a week in August 2018 and had the times of our lives. We (mom/dad and our 3 kids ages 12, 10 and 8) stayed there with another family with three kids (ages 12, 9 and 6). We also brought our nanny to help out, so 11 total occupants. This home is absolutely a shangri-la for kids....SO much for them to do. If they weren't casting fishing poles of the dock, they were swimming and pushing each other in the river, playing on the trampoline, swinging on the swingset, playing pickleball on the regulation court, or rowing around in a canoe or on a paddleboard. If they needed a break from the sun, they played pool/foosball in the house or "pop a shot" in the garage. Each evening was a "smores" party after dinner in either the outdoor fireplace or firepit on the lawn. For the adults, it was equally terrific. The bedrooms and baths are plentiful and spacious, the beds all very comfortable and the air conditioning kept everything perfectly cool when we got a spell of 100 degree weather! The kitchen had every appliance and utensil you could ever need, and the outdoor grill got a lot of use from us. The large common kitchen table doubled for meals, and then card games in the evening. The commercial ice maker in the garage guaranteed we never had a warm drink. The home is only a 30 minute drive from the Spokane airport, and if you have friends at Gozzer Ranch or anywhere on the east side of the lake, it's a 10-15 minute boat ride. There is plenty of space to moor boats and jet skis. The owner met us when we arrived and gave us a run through on everything. Suffice it to stay this was one of the most memorable family vacations for us and our kids, and we would absolutely return next year! It was an OUTSTANDING experience.

Heaven on Spokane River - Peaceful and Exciting
We loved this place.
The experience starts from the street. From the entrance, you cannot see the home. You drive down a winding road to a mansion next to the Spokane River. Once you enter you notice the mosaic tiles of a deer on the entry way. Then you notice the A-frame 30+ foot vaulted ceiling accompanied by a large fire place. You then see a large backyard lawn with a trampoline, kids house with a slide, canoe and kayaks, and a dock with a boat and 3 jet skis as requested on the Spokane River.
The multi-level home has a huge kitchen with all the amenities, 2 convection oven which I enjoyed. The area is large enough to entertain the family and friends while I cooked.
The high ceiling in every room give a very spacious and free feel. There are 5 large bedrooms, one on the 1st floor and 4 on the 2nd floor. The Master bedroom is huge. It is bigger than the first home I lived it. How time has changed
The best part about the house my son loved was the fire pole from the 2nd floor to the kitchen. He loved being called for meals and coming down the pole right into the kitchen. My wife loved seeing our son come down, which reminded of her late father who was a fireman.
For a large home, the water was hot throughout the house. Also the AC worked great. The temperature got up in the 90s, which was unusual for Post Falls, but did not know it while inside the house.
Our family and friends really enjoyed going jet skiing. We also enjoyed taking the boat out towing the kids on a raft. Also enjoyed going to Cedars and docking it right at the restaurant. Got to try their cedar plank salmon. It was delicious. We also enjoyed taking the boat to the Couer D Arlene Resort for lunch and dinner. Did not worry about traffic or parking. Return sunset cruise was always beautiful.
We also enjoyed the large fire place on the back side of the original fire place. The kids loved roasting S mores every night. There were plenty of chopped wood and skewers for the marshmallows.
We had an issue with the TV and called the owner. They responded quickly and sent someone out to the house within 30 minutes. All transactions with the owner were very professional and timely.
We loved our experience, we will be back next year.

serene and welcoming home on beautiful Lake Coeur D'Alene
We had a terrific stay at this property. Lovely home, giant kid-friendly yard and beautiful grounds. The house is big, lots of rooms for large groups (we had 5 children and 8 adults). It is a really comfortable space, the kitchen was great to cook in, the living room large and inviting. The back yard was entirely awesome for the kids: huge grassy area, trampoline, play set, volleyball, fire pits, beach area - it had it all. Dock easily accessible and big. The pickle ball court was really fun to play on. Bedrooms all large and really comfortable. What we noticed most was the lovely quiet at night. The Centennial Trail is minutes away and we spent ample time biking it. Town is a few minutes away via car, but we boated most of the time to the lake (about an easy 10 minute ride). The house was in spotless condition, very clean, and our host was totally available and easy to work with. We have stayed at lots of properties, and we would HIGHLY recommend this house for a lake vacation for a large group - it was simply stunning!

Fantastic property. Great attention to detail.
The owners provided every amenity one could think of. Although my previous stays were always on the main lake, we found the river to be much more accommodating for our water sports, yet the main lake and resort were just a short boat ride away. It was also fairly close to boat filling stations and a very short drive to town for shopping, groceries, etc. My family would definitely stay there again.

Inspiring Estate and Setting!
Your elegant home and property were the perfect catalyst to create memories that will last my family a lifetime. There are so many options out there these days. We are so pleased to have selected North Idaho, and your property. We especially loved the water – perfect for every water activity from our little ones playing on the shore, to kayaking and skiing. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Amazing Family Vacation
We had an amazing vacation at this beautiful property. There was always something to do. The kids never once said they were bored. As parents this is priceless. Every morning was so peaceful as we sat out on the back patio sipping our coffee and taking in the breath taking view. The home was perfect for our entire family. So much fun! So many memories.

Breathtaking Home and Exceptional Service
I booked this property on behalf of a colleague for his summer family reunion. The owner of the home has been an absolute pleasure to work with. Professional, efficient, responsive and accommodating. Seeing that I am making the arrangements on behalf of someone else, there are many questions that I need to have answered and David has gone above and beyond to respond quickly! David has gone above and beyond offering suggestions to local amenities and services, making personal recommendations and doing his own research to help assist getting what we need. Seeing that I am not familiar with this area, I have the utmost trust and confidence with what David has recommended due to his professionalism and flexibility. The home is beyond breathtaking and I look forward to booking this summer home for years to come!

Like a dream…everything was perfect!
Thank you for letting us stay at the Timber River Lodge! Your home was perfect! The perfect location – minutes from everything we needed, yet we felt like we were in a remote water-front haven. While we did spend time in town at the shops, movie theatres, and restaurants, most of our time was spent enjoying the beach, water, dock, boats, and sun! This is indeed a unique and magnificent property and home. Great toys, great living areas, and great hosts! Thank you…We hope to be back soon.

Ultimate Waterfront Vacation For My Family
If you are looking for the perfect waterfront spot for your family, you found it! My family and I vacation here each summer and always keep coming back! The setting is nearly indescribable - absolutely beautiful part of God's creation! We live in L.A. and my son's face lights up each year as we step out on the dock of this North Idaho jewel and board the jet ski or the boat! The water is perfect for all water sports - wake surfing, wake boarding, skiing, tubing or just playing in the shallow water right in front of the property. We've spent countless hours playing volleyball, croquet, and frisbee on the acre lawn between the water and the home. The setting is private and inviting.
The cooks in the group couldn't ask for more! The well-appointed gourmet kitchen is also warm and inviting, with marble counter tops and hardwood floors, a large double oven and warming drawer...not to mention to 2 refrigerators. There is a cozy kitchen nook for morning coffee, and a large dining table to accommodate large groups.
There are views from every room. And every room is spacious and inviting. They have 3 a/c systems so the home stayed very comfortable all week. Each bedroom has its own unique style, and every one has it own bathroom (there are 7 bathrooms in all!) We enjoyed playing pool and foosball in their loft, and ping pong in their oversized 4 car garage, and pickle ball outside.
Collecting the eggs each morning from the chicken house always seemed to be a favorite for some of the kids! The chickens were quite tame and could be picked up. We also picked fresh herbs from their vegetable and herb garden and fruit from their orchard.
There is so much to describe - too much! You will be as thrilled as we are if you choose this property!

Outstanding in every way!!!!!!!!!
We could not have had more FUN! The home is beautiful, well equipped and is full of games and toys to keep all ages entertained for the entire week. Our family ranged from age 77 to 3 and there was something for EVERYONE. The property is beautiful and the home is lovely both inside and out. It was the perfect home for our 50th wedding anniversary with the whole clan. The owners were friendly and helpful in every way. We had so much fun that everyone wants to return again and make it an annual reunion!!!!! Would we recommend this property? ABSOLUTELY! It has our very highest recommendation. You will love it!

Great Week at an Amazing Home Right on the Water
We had an incredibly lovely time in this spacious home right on the Spokane River. The house is large enough for my extended family of 12. Each individual family had their own space and bathroom and there were plenty of rooms throughout the home to have quiet reading time or a family board game.
The house boasts an large dock where we spent many hours of the day laying out, boating and fishing. Even better the house virtually every game you can imagine. There is a pool table, foosball table, ping pong table, shuffle billiards and pickle ball. We played volleyball and croquet and always had a "new" option of fun when we were not on the water.
The kitchen is a large chef's kitchen and has high end appliances so you can cook everything you do at home. Definitely give the panini press and double waffle maker a try! Even better, there is a second fridge/freezer in the garage which will help store your food for the week. We found no reason to go out to eat, because it was so easy and fun to cook for a large crew at the house.
Laundry was available on the first and second floors which all of us found super convenient and allowed us to pack light. For all those latte-lovers, there is a Starbucks 2 miles down the road and movie theater if you catch a rainy day.
We will be back. The Spokane River is the ideal place for a family boating vacation. We would choose the river over the lake every time. The owners make renting this home easy and convenient and are incredibly fair and honest.
Thanks for a great week!

Best Vacation EVER!
Our extended family of 12 (ages 14-80) unanimously declared our reunion week at this amazing property "the best vacation EVER." The home is extremely spacious and beautifully appointed, but except for sleeping and cooking, we spent the entire week outdoors -- on the boat, jet ski, kayaks, tubing, water skiing, wakeboarding; lounging on the shaded deck and shaded lawn; roasting marshmallows by the outdoor fire pit; playing whiffle ball and football. We felt like the Kennedys at Hyannis Port! The entire group unplugged and watched t.v. only twice -- for World Cup soccer semi-finals. July temperatures were in the mid-80s to low-90s, but the forested lot and lawn made for a wonderfully pleasant climate. We took the boat to Coeur d'Alene once for dinner and drove by car once for lunch and shopping -- other than that, we grilled outdoors and didn't want to leave paradise. I had initially looked for a home on the lake but discovered that this river location is far superior -- less watercraft traffic, less wind, calmer and warmer waters, great sightseeing, and the lake and town easily accessible by boat. The homeowners provided outstanding service, checking us in and giving us the tour, then following up on all our needs. You cannot go wrong with this luxury vacation home rental. We highly recommend, and we will be back!

A Fantastic Vacation Rental
My family had a wonderful vacation at this beautiful home on the Spokane River about 15 minutes by boat from Coeur d'Alene Lake. There were 12 of us--my husband and me, and our three children and their families, plus our younger daughter's two dogs. There were bedrooms enough for everyone, and our four grandchildren, a boy and girl of eleven, and girls of nine and eight, shared a room with a king bed downstairs and a loft with a bunk bed with a regular bed below and a twin bed above.
The listing description of the house was accurate, but the house was actually neater than described. The kitchen was large and well laid out, so that a number of us could work in it at the same time. There were all kinds of equipment and appliances; in fact, there wasn't anything that we needed that wasn't there. There was room for all of us to eat in the dining room, the breakfast nook, and at the bar, but because the weather was so lovely, we ate outside for our meals other than breakfast.
The living room was cozy, and the game room was nice; my son in law and my grandson played pool and foosball quite a bit. There was a game in the garage that everybody played--there was something addictive about it. It was built by the owner's son. It was a long box on legs, with pool balls on each end, and a person on each end threw the cue ball at the balls at the other end and tried to knock them into a box. Then the person who caught the cue ball threw it back at the pool balls on the other end. The game was quick, and then the winner would play the next person watching. Everybody played the game, and somene was playing nearly all the time.
There was a sand beach by the river, and the grandkids loved that. The river was clear and not very deep by the dock, so the kids could swim there, and there was a bench on the dock where someone could sit and watch them. We rented a pontoon boat for several days, and used it to go into Coeur d'Alene for lunch and for shopping. We also used it for tubing, which the kids loved. Everybody had fun on the boat, even the dogs.
The owner provided good customer service; he met us at the house when we arrived and explained how everything worked. He texted us daily to make sure that everything was going well, and some member of his family came by to feed the chickens daily. We collected the eggs from the chickens for breakfast and cooking, and we also used herbs from the herb garden.
I would recommend the house!

Amazing property for an amazing retreat
This was the perfect venue to celebrate my in-laws 40th wedding anniversary. There were 3 couples over 60 and 3 couples under 35 with two kids and a baby and it was PERFECT. There is a chicken coop with 8 chickens and a garden with fresh fruits and vegetables that we collected everyday. The kids adored the chickens! They are quite docile and produced the most delicious eggs. David's hospitality was unparalleled--he even brought us pastries and muffins one morning. David was always available to help us with anything we needed--he even helped us set up a private chef to come and cook for us in the home one night. The house itself is phenomenal. It has a rustic/cabin feel to it, but luxury all around. The kitchen was fantastic. Everything about our stay was amazing and this house was central to it all. We would return in a heart beat, but prices have gone up since our visit!!! Even still, we would love to return. I have no complaints and only praise for this amazing home.
