About this house rental
Stay in a unique and original Old Town Hall with hardwood floors and 16' tall ceilings. Each bedroom has a unique feel and the loft spaces are amazing.
The building is a converted 3/4 basketball court that has had bedrooms and bathrooms added. This building is set up for large or small groups with plenty of space to spread out. Handicap accessible with a lift in the garage for main floor access.
Includes Washer and dryer, wireless internet, modern kitchen, Jacuzzi tub in one of the bathrooms and a dining area large enough to feed everyone.
Located in SW Douglas County, MN there are over 20 lakes within 15 minutes and the Kensington Runestone Park is about 10 minutes away.
In the winter, Andes Tower Hills Ski Area is 15 minutes away and the DATA snowmobile trails (Douglas Area Trails Association) right on the edge of town.

This place was amazing! Do Not let the picture of the front of the building deter you from booking, it actually just adds to the special character of this place! Which was great!!!All your basic needs for an enjoyable stay are provided...Five bedrooms (4-down stairs, 1-up stairs), with additional open sleeping area with six beds (2-doubles, 4-singles) on the second floor! Both large bathrooms are on the first floor, there is a well equipment kitchen and a washer/dryer for your use.Alot of available things to do inside (books, games, little children playroom, and table games for the adults i.e. ping pong, foosball, air hockey, card table) if rainy or just want to stay in for the day. There are several different sitting areas for small groups to sit to have thier own conversation away from the whole family or group of friends! Plenty of off street parking (hmmm six cars if needed) It was great sitting in the garage listening to the birds... The house is handicapped accessible from inside the garage, the lift was also very helpful bringing bags in/out!K-Town Bar was just a very very short walk and has plenty of room for a large group to gather. I really enjoyed thier hamburger for a late night snack!I could keep on going, but you just need to see for yourself... definitely hope to plan another trip to Alexandria MN to see family and book this place for our stay!

Hosted a womens retreat. Up to 19 spent the night and at one time we had 30 people. Felt very spacious and we had lots of room to spread out but also be together. Host was extremely helpful.
