It’s a fantastic location from which to explore the Yorkshire Dales. The cottage is on a working farm, and it was so wonderful to meet the family and all of the animals - especially Percy the pig!

The cottage was well laid out and had an open plan spacious kitchen/lounge/dining area. The beds were comfortable and there was plenty of room. It had a lovely spacious garden to sit in the sun and relax.
We loved the freedom to wander around the 45 acre field with the sheep to look for wildlife. We saw a barn owl, buzzards, meadow pipits and tree sparrows and it was lovely to be approached by’Dolly’ the hand reared sheep for a stroke.
If you like a rural retreat, this is for you and of course, on a working farm you can also see the animals and dogs at work.
The hosts were very welcoming and accommodating. We were especially pleased to have seen the other workings of the property, with a little guided tour.
We will definitely be back!
