Really value for money

The owner, Igie, was really sweet and helpful. The location was great too, about a 10-15min walk from Panagsama Beach (where the restaurants are).

The room was generally clean but a little dusty at times (though I don't think this can be helped as Cebu's surroundings always feel dusty). There was no hairdryer in the room which was a little inconvenient, and the "blanket" was a mere sheet which made it quite cold at night despite us turning down the AC.

Amazing hosts and great budget option in Moalboal!

- amazing hosts, so friendly and helpful. We booked Canyoneering, snorkelling, bike rental, and a transfer to the airport with them - free cold water and coffee refills available - room was comfortable and a good size, AC worked fine - good location, everything we needed was within walking distance

Entre plage et ville

Emplacement parfait, proche du centre et de la plage à pied. Et en même temps éloigné du bruit et de l’agitation. (Attention au bruit des chiens et coq toute la nuit). Possibilité de louer un scooter et réserver des excursions directement à l’hôtel. Personnel adorable et serviable. (Départ à 4h du matin, ils nous avaient laissé de la brioche). Je recommande a 100%

Estancia correcta, dueños muy agradables

Cabañas bonitas y espaciosas. Su dueña muy simpática nos alquiló ahí mismo la moto al llegar y nos ofreció excursiones. Tenian agua y cafe gratis y nos hicieron la estancia agradable. El caudal de agua de la ducha era bueno y había agua caliente. Las camas comodas. Tiene tv. El aire acondicionado funciona mas que bien.

Habia pequeñas hormigas por la habitación. El grifo de la pica de lavavo salia agua a presion mojandote casa vez que lo abrias. La ducha y el WC están juntos, como en todos los sitios de filipinas hasta ahora, y se llena todo de agua. Para entrar y salir del alojamiento hay q abrir y cerrae una verja que resulta un poco incomoda. Se escucha absolutamente todo de los huéspedes de la cabaña de al lado.

Great value, lovely hosts

Hosted by a lovely family, they were very kind and went above and beyond for our stay. Very cute bungalows! Room was basic and we had everything we needed. Pillows very comfy! Good value for money. Bit of noise from animals in morning but this reflects the area in general.

A perfect stay with friends in a very appreciated hotel and welcomed by a lovely staff

The hotel is very well located on the island of Cebu, you can reach the beach of Panagsama in less than 5 minutes by foot, the rooms are big, the bungalows are very nice, the staff is adorable, they help you in the organization of your activities and manage to have discount prices on some activities and help you in the transportation We loved our stay in this hotel and we highly recommend it.

There is not a great isolation of the bungalows, you can hear animals and people talking but you get used to it quickly.

Lovely stay made memorable by Arlene.

West Side Cabana is located on a 5min walk to Panagsama beach. The rooms are tidy and provide everything you need. With airconditioning and private private bathroom. The host Arlene is golden. She is always there when you need her and provides answers to all your questions with all her love.

We stayed in a room on the street side. The only little downside of our stay was the noisy chickens across the street. It didn’t bother us that much since we got up early anyways and the noise could be cancelled with some earplugs.

Welcoming & cosy stay

The best thing was the staff, very welcoming and friendly. Also very helpful for advice about activities and onward travel. We were able to hire snorkels for a small fee. Beds were super comfy and the room felt clean. Short walk to the main road with restaurants and bars.

It was great value for money, having a fridge in the room would be helpful if you are staying for a long time. However there is free hot & cold water available which is great!

Great staff, good location, nice ambience and decent value

Staff Arlene took care of everything, from laundry to bike rentals to excursions - all fuss free and convenient for guests. Free water to refill your bottle. Simple place with only 4 standalone chalets and a dining area with pleasant ambience. Location was ideal for me: 400m walk to the beach and dive centre, and 400m to the start of the stretch of eateries and bars.

The towels - clean but not very absorbent. Roosters and dogs nearby are noisy all the time. Ear plugs worked well for me. Pricier than some other places but reasonable for what you get.

Highly recommend West Side Cabanas.

All we can say about West Side Cabanas is that after 5 days of being treated with care and wonderful service, we would recommend this simple resort to anyone who is looking for a budget friendly resort that is not only clean and safe but is also a 5 minute walk to good restaurants and the snorkelling beach where you can see the sardines and turtles. Arlin (hope the spelling is correct) is a wonderful hostess who does everything to ensure her guests are happy and well cared for . The beds were simple and comfortable, A/C was quiet and worked well, water pressure was sufficient and finally the internet was mostly very good. Both Arlin and Christian who manage the place, helped us with exchanging money in town which is 5 kms away and also downloading pictures of the whale sharks from a new complex waterproof camera, and we are indebited to them. They go out of their way to help their guests and make them feel welcome!

The cabanas and the property need little things that need fixing and should be done sooner than later. Moalboal itself has lots of garbage on peoples properties and they don't seem to care. There are also many flea infested, mangy, starving dogs that is heartbreaking to see.

Good place in Moalboal. Good location. Lovely staff.

We enjoyed our stay here. The owner was helpful in arranging activities or motorbikes and Arlene (the woman who manages the property) was a true delight! She was always around to assist if needed and even would sometimes sing a little song while helping out. Quiet little street close to the heart of town and the beach activities.

good AC. comfortable bed. warm shower. is further out but this makes it quieter, still only 5min walk to restaurants. amazing host, friendly and enthusiastic, very helpful- sorted our laundry for us, and organised bike rental and trabsport to bus.

A nice stay, lovely staff and definitely got the recharge that I needed.

Service was really good. Helped me figure out some stuff and asked for coffee every morning. The area was quiet and not too far from the center. I enjoyed walking everytime.

Actually the only thing I didn't like was the lack of electrical outputs. There were only 2 hidden low behind the bed.

Ok, but there is better in Moalboal

- Friendly staff. - Good value for money. - The staff let us move with free cancellation and full refund due to none of the services working due to a storm.

- It doesn’t look like the pictures. - The wifi wasn’t working. - There are far better locations in Moalboal. - Noisy uncomfortable rooms.

Cozy bungalow style accommodation

The room was very spacious and the beds comfortable. The aircon worked well and it was great that a cooling as well as ‘just fan’ setting was possible. The staff was very helpful and polite whenever something was missing or needed. They immediately assisted with any request or issues and clearly cared about their guests. Overall a good place to be based location wise- max. 10 min walk from everything. Furthermore there’s is drinking water available for guests.

The bathroom had a strong smell, almost moldy. When you left it open at all times it was ok, but if left closed and then opened it, it was unpleasant. Sometimes the water just stopped running. When it happened and you let the staff know, they immediately helped and turned it on again, which was very nice. However while in the shower washing hair or during other unfortunate moments eg brushing teeth, it really sucked to not have any water unexpectedly and you can’t just always immediately walk out and ask for help. This happened at least once a day. >> As the hotel staff is aware of this issue I hope they take this feedback positively and fix the water issue. For the cost of the room I had expected that the room would get cleaned/have room service at least once during a 3/4 day stay, especially with the need to throw all toilet paper into the trash bin and all the sand from outside. I wasn’t offered the option and it didn’t happen by itself (maybe I needed to request it specifically? I don’t know). Lastly, the room is not soundproof and you can hear everything, from neighbors television, conversations, karaoke music, roosters singing in the middle of the night and motorbikes stopping and starting, as they are parked right in front of the room. Might not bother deep sleepers at all, but good to know if selecting a room.

Great quiet cozy room at an affordable price. 5 minutes walk from the sea and from the busy and noisy main street. The hostess is very nice and welcoming. The bed was comfortable. Always hot water in the shower. Very clean.
