The hosts were extremely welcoming and friendly. The breakfast and evening meals were delicious.

It would have been nice to have the room serviced while we were out during the day and maybe replace the tea and coffee that we had used. We did mention to the owner that there were a few cobwebs about and the mirror was dirty. He appreciated us telling him and said that he would sort it out

The rooms felt rather unloved and plain and basic. Shabby unloved courtyard area with a gate hanging off and old furniture. Okaybed but duvet was too small to cover two people. Basic pillows and bed linen More like a motel than a country inn room Then there was the supposedly “pietastic” award winning pies to savour £18.95 for an uncooked pastry pie with very little filling a dollop of mash and a few peas and gravy. Extremely disappointing ! We were hungry so ate filling and mash; when they finally came to collect the plates , the server was apologetic said she would take our drinks off the bill! I believe something has happened and the quality has plummeted and until something changes for the better they really needed to stop praising their amazing pies because ours certainly was not amazing , let alone edible! Also very cheap cutlery; hurts to hold it
