We have cancelled our two night stay and have left even before the first night due to the reallly impolite and rude behavior of the reception staff. We have arrived on Friday evening and did not find a parking lot. The only answer of the receptionist has been that we have to try now each parking house, one after the other. Then she turned back to the computer and simply ignored my request for support. If you do not have own parking spaces you should not write that you have nearby parking options and "reservation is not necessary" - this indicates availability. You should be clear and state that it is not possible to make a reservation. As mentioned we left, even paying the first night and found another hotel - cheaper, with parking and most important: friendly and supporting staff!

I come here for work travel a few times a year and always try and stay at the Goliath. I love this hotel, everything is clean and top notch. The breakfast is really good and the WiFi is stable and fast.

We had two rooms on the 4th floor. One of the rooms only had a small window and therefore was darker than we would have liked.

Location of the hotel is amazing. Breakfast was charming and yummy. We liked that we could book and use sauna and wellness room just by ourselves, not being intereptued by anybody.

The room which we got was way out of what the hotel is presenting on the booking as standard room. I chose the hotel because I liked the visual site if the room, colorful walls and cool combinations of colors. We got room with white walls, not very well combined furniture, faded old carpet. So we were dissapointed that hotel is promoting different level of room on the booking than reality was. We were looking for the visual aspect of the hotel. Only nice room which we have seen was hall and coffee/breakfast area.

A perfect place to stay and for discovering Regensburg!

The hotel is centrally located in the old town, so it was close to restaurants, shops, and sights. The rooms were clean and large with air conditioning that worked well. Breakfast was good and quickly served, and the service throughout the hotel was friendly.

The hotel's listing stated that parking was available on site, which is not true (I found this out by reading through other reviews the day before we checked in). We parked in a garage approximately a 5-8 minute walk away, which was fine, but the listing is misleading (I narrow my search based off of parking availability when we drive). The shower has a window that looks into the room, so if anyone goes to the bathroom in the middle of the night or one person gets up to shower, etc. before the other, the light from the bathroom will most likely wake the other person. While the toilet has its own area separated by a sliding pocket door, there is not a separate light switch, so all bathroom lights turn off and on together. Additionally, the wifi was not reliable. It kept dropping out, especially if we both were online. The pillows were typical European pillows that look fluffy, but immediately flatten out when you lay on them. There were no extra pillows in the room, which made it difficult to sleep and left me with a very sore neck. The "city view" was of the wall of the building next door, which was only about 3 feet away (if you are tall enough, you could see the alleyway below also). The noise from the alleyway outside the window was quite loud in the early hours of the morning (it is a college town), so we were not able to leave the window open at night (the air conditioning made this not an issue).

Location was great and the staff was both friendly and helpful. Room was very quiet.
